  1. just wanted to update everyone on what we found out... here's a little history, for 2012 our w-9's showed we made over 60k BUT I was layed off with conditions on 12-31-2012. the condition was I would no longer receive a payroll check but the company continued to carry my health insurance (I was only 3 years cancer free), they will w-9 me for the cost of the health insurance so I couldn't file for unemployment, we applied for the parent plus and was denied, we then filed a special circumstance review with the university and explained the situation with my layoff, it was approved and her grant amount went up as well as her guaranteed student loans, after doing so we only had to buy her books for this first year and before we owed over 10K! my best advice is talk to the financial advisors, they can perform miracles, ours did!
  2. to original poster, what did you find out? i'm in the same situation...
  3. freetaxusa has them but have to pay 9.95 for 2009-2011, 2012 is free... i'm okay with that as long as they are legit
  4. Thank you for your response, i need to file 4 years, 2 years i owe, 2 years i should have 'refunds' going to taxes owed.... i was looking at priortax.com, taxbrain.com, freetaxusa.com, pastduetaxreturns.com & toptaxdefenders.com... anybody with any experience on those?
  5. I need to file previous years federal tax returns and then deal with penalties & interest, i've found a few sites but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions... TIA
  6. You have no idea what got me here... ever heard of cancer? Medical bills? This used to be a great place to go without worrying about being beat up or criticized, I'm not so sure anymore. Somebody tries to beat you up, hit that report button, sweetie. It's against our TOS. I hope you're doing OK. Thank You... I am doing good right now... cancer free but high risk for reoccurance but I just try to live every day to the fullest and not worry about what "may" happen on my next check up. I feel like I need to explain myself but I'm going to refrain other than to say I did a voluntary repo on the travel trailer. It's gone. Yes, I have alot of credit card debt, 2009 was a very very bad year and I'm not just referring to my health. I needed treatment I needed to pay and the credit was available to me... cash wasn't. I have to travel to 3 hours one way to the cancer center every 3 months and thats when I get good reports (for 4 months I was going twice a week), I need reliable transportation. I didn't go out and buy a cadilac escalade, I went today and bought a kia, yeh a kia. 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that should get me thru the bk. Think what you want of me, I'm just trying to do what's best for me and my family. Radi8/Breeze THANK YOU!
  7. You have no idea what got me here... ever heard of cancer? Medical bills? This used to be a great place to go without worrying about being beat up or criticized, I'm not so sure anymore.
  8. Thank you so much. I knew I wasn't doing anything wrong but didn't know how to let everyone else know that. I was feeling pretty bad after some of the posts ... thanks again!
  9. If I knew this to be the case, I would not assist in procuring the loan. So sorry you are having difficulties. It happens sometimes to the best of us. I'm gonna pay for the vehicle... nothing will change as far as payments... but by law I have to disclose the loan information and it might state that it's IIB but in all actuality it will still be paid as if I had never filed backruptcy...
  10. Scumbag Lawyer? Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you make statements like this!
  11. Absolutely untrue. This happens all the time. A chapter 13 lasts for 5 years and you are advised to make sure you have a vehicle that will last for 5 years. I'm not planning on filing backruptcy on it. I have to reveal it to the trustee but I still make the payments.
  12. I can't get financing without a co-signer. If I get a co-signer won't their credit report show the car loan as IIB? How badly will that affect their credit if that one trade line shows IIB?
  13. Ugh, might be too late for Citi. But give it a shot with the CRA's - and try hard. A recent 60 day late can be a score killer. Talk to somebody higher up with citi, if you are only an AU, you can be removed anytime. So you can remove an au anytime, like even after the account has been closed for months?
  14. How does one go about removing authorized users on closed accounts? For example jon became an au on janes cc several years ago. About a year ago jane got behind on her payments and the accts were closed when she called and went into the hardship program. jane has now decided to file bk. jon is in no way connected to the bk but the accts show on his credit report. how does someone go about removing the au and the acct from jon's credit report. I know that under normal circumstances (open accounts) the acct holder would just call up the cc co. and remove the au then the au would dispute it off the credit reports but I don't think (and I could be wrong) that would work for a closed acct. Thanks!
