  1. Hi all, I was fortunate enough to have a judgment deleted from all of my credit reports from a Citibank suit back in 2005. I recently settled this judgment and have a release from the creditor that I need to file with the court. I am wondering if I file this release, will the CRAs pick up on it and put the judgment back on my reports? Should I just keep the release in a safe place and be ready to file it and show it to a potential lender in the future? Thanks in advance for any insight you may have-
  2. I consolidated 9 SL (grad and then law school). FICO did not change a single point, although the little red "this is hurting your score" flag is now gone.
  3. It happened to me once last week. It was back the next day when I pulled.
  4. Mine was a little over 2 years old. No lates, haven't carried a balance on that card in about 6 months. I'm not going to bother with recon. It was a great card when I needed it for rebuilding, but they were now my lowest CL and had an AF and high interest rate. It's served its purpose, so I'm done with them.
  5. I just got my letter in the mail today. Same reason. "Excessive new accounts." 2 in the last year. Weird, because they just gave me a CLI last month...
  6. Sorry, realized I didn't answer your original question. Yes, they can report a CO every month. Some do (Discover), some do every few months (BOA), some only when you dispute.
  7. Hi, Only speaking from my experience, I had 3 COs that I settled with Chase. They reported different dates for the lates, CO, etc. to each of the CRAs. I disputed them every way possible, and nothing worked. Finally just had to wait until they could be disputed as obsolete, which worked for all of them with TU about 6 months out, all of them with EQ about 2 months out, and did not work at all for EX. Hope you have better luck!
  8. When does your EXP report say the item will fall off? From what I have read from other members, the item will fall off on the third Sunday of the month your report says it will fall off. In my experience, the couple of times I have disputed as obsolete with EXP, they've added an additional month to the drop off date.
  9. It will fall off around the first couple of days of the month after it was due to fall off. I'd just wait it out. In the past when I have disputed something as obsolete with EXP in the month it was due to fall off, they've magically added an additional month to the removal date.
  10. Couldn't hurt trying with TU. A little far out for EQ. Not a chance for EX (you will likely be waiting until 1/10). As always, YMMV.
  11. I'd send a simple obsolete letter. Online works great for TU, but EX does not have the "too old to be on file" option or anything equivalent.
  12. I joined in March. Still a daily puller for me.
  13. In my experience, it depends on who the OC is. Chase and AMEX stuck like glue until near the end of the allowable reporting period, no matter what method I tried. I was finally able to get them off by using obsolete, but that was about 6 1/2 years after DOLA. I hope you have better luck than I did!
