  1. That's possible. Selling my house soon and plan to pay off just about everything (except student loans). Am very interested to see what happens with my score. Was hoping it would skyrocket but now I have some serious doubts...
  2. Thought of what it might be. Recently moved from a rural OR house to an urban CA house worth much more. Seems to me that would put you in a better bucket but apparently not... FICO scores don't discriminate based on income, assets or location. That's gotta be it then. Thank you! Guess I will pay down balances slower. Seems counter-intuitive, but okay...

  4. If by bucket you mean car, then no. Nothing else has changed other than what I mentioned above. search key term: segmentation That must be it. I guess. Things sure have changed since last time I played this game... Edit: Also, can somebody explain the photobucket thing? Is it some kind of CB meme?

  6. Well I did pay several cards down to $0 but my overall utilization is not 0%. It's actually higher than I'd like which is why I paid down the 20k. All accounts are reporting correctly and the reports have no errors (that I can find). Ironically I received a creditkarma email today with "we're proud of you" or something and, sure enough, my TU score dropped there as well. (Yes I know it's a FAKO.)
  7. Just checked my FICO scores and they dropped as well. 13 points down.
  8. Even though FAKO is not used by lenders it's still upsetting to see such a drastic drop from paying down a decent size chunk of utilization. Wouldn't you agree? Just doesn't make any sense.
  9. In what bizarro world does paying down your CC debt by almost $20k cause your credit score to DROP by almost 40 points?!? "The credit score shown on WalletHub is based on your TransUnion credit report as well as the VantageScore 3.0 model, and it may differ from what your lender or insurer uses."
  10. Notice the date it updated...
  11. Is there a current list (or thread) of biz CCs that don't report to personal and only require a SSN (not EIN) for sole-prop?
  12. Rather than scrutinize OP's financial situation can somebody offer any suggestions to procure funding?
  13. Can't seem to find the appropriate thread. Which cards currently DO NOT report to personal credit files?
