  1. Thanks for the response Am I correct in my understanding that by working off of the free reports that it would be a 45 days vs. 30? Or would that even matter b/c I did my first round of disputes off the tri-merge report I got off of creditchecktotal.com?
  2. Hello everyone! I have been a lurker for some time now and think I am starting to understand the process of credit repair after lots of reading and note taking. I started a couple of months ago on my own and used the reports off of Creditchecktotal.com. I sent out a blanket dispute to each CRA and ended up with 10 deletions off of Transunion and 1 off of Equifax (Still waiting on Experian) After lots of reading here, I see that is not a good idea to base credit repair off of the tri-merge sites. My question is, I see everyone saying to order the hard copys of my reports and I wanted to make sure I understood it correctly. I need to order the hard copys of my reports and pay the fee for each one, not pull it off the CRA website and print it? Will I need to plan to pay this everytime I need to get updated reports? Also, should I go ahead and sign up for a credit monitoring service? I have looked into a few but they will only allow a refresh on your reports every few months or so. Is creditchecktotal.com ok or is there something better? Thanks for the help, I have been through the search feature and the Newbies section and cannot find a definate answer.
  3. Ok, an update with US Bank. Because I will be using the account to deposit my earnings as an independent contractor they said it is being treated as a business account and refused to open it. Gahhh..I dont know what to do now.
  4. Thanks Mca. I just checked it and its still open but I will not do anything with it. I also opened a backup with US Bank. Are they ok or do you have any suggestions? The state is NC and I wouldn't mind if it was completely an online account.
  5. I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer but is BB&T safe? I needed to open up a checking and savings and thought I read somewhere that they were Chex friendly. I have 1 thing on Chexsystems from BOA and its showing as paid. On Friday I opened up a checking and savings online and received an approval. Do you think the accounts will be ok? I opened one up at US Bank as a back-up. I'm in North Carolina if that helps.
