Okay guys, my situation is this: I've disputed all negative info about 3 times and have just one item removed. The bulk of my score improvement has come from me developing better financial habits. My question is this: what options do i have now, to get my derogatory information removed from my reports? Sent from my LGMS345 using Tapatalk

Thank you Kat! :-)

Congrats my friend! Your progress is an inspiration to me, and heaven knows I ned it with what is going on in real life as well as on here for me. Can I ask if youre going to take a swing at some decent cards now or if you want to share any stories if you already did? THANKS!! I DEFINITELY want to get some better cards now. I am not sure what cards I can qualify for though.

Wow! I can hardly believe its been nearly a year since i started this thread! Life has kept me very busy, but not too busy to take me off course from my goals. I hope everyone is doing well and succeeding. As for myself, i will let the knowledgeable members of this forum chime in on how well or not so well i have done this past year. Below are my scores from when i started my journey one year ago and where my scores stand today Start --> Current TU:569 --> 625 EQ:608 --> 647 EX:586 --> 649 Well? 😬

Several Collection accounts and a 3 y.o. charge off. If they do soft pulls at the branch I should, hopefully, be fine. And like I said the banker was very pleasant and friendly (and CUTE!).

Hello everyone. Yesterday I visited a local Chase bank to open a Total Checking account after I recently bought a coupon code on eBay for a $300 bonus for setting up direct deposit. The friendly banker set up the account with no problem and even gave me a debit card with my name on it, right there in the branch!! My problem is this: the banker informed me that they would do a soft pull of my credit looking for any major derogatory items (or something to that extent) and that they will pull a Chexsystems report as well. My Chexsystems report is squeaky clean, but my credit reports are not. I am eager to set up direct deposit, but am hesitant to do so if the account will closed. Does anyone know if Chase will close my account due to my poor credit and/or can offer any sound advice? Thanks.

I'm in Florida and I think the dofd was May 2012 . (Don't have my reports in front of me to confirm at the moment) From my understanding the sol is 4 years -
It's a charged off account from cap 1 that is still in SOL for about another year for roughly $550. Though in the letter it says they won't sue because of the age of the debt. How should I proceed from here? Should I respond even though it's still in SOL?

Interesting. I wonder how this could affect other states with similar SOL like Florida.

Wow, it's amazing what all you can find out if you just ask. Thanks you two.
