I applied for a Chase Freedom last year over the phone with my pre-approval letter and I remember being approved over the phone within a short amount of time.
I was curious about the accuracy of Creditkarma's and Creditsesame's scores. A moderator on another credit card website said that the scores were lower than the real FICO score for Transunion (Creditkarma) and Experian (Creditsesame). My Creditkarma score is 740 and my Creditsesame score is 763.
According to credit sesame, my credit score is 763. I have three inquiries on Experian, which is used by credit sesame and one on Equifax, which seems to be used by Discover. What kind of limit do you think I could get with Discover?
Does every creditor use one of the three and not all three at the same time? The reason I ask is because I have four inquiries on Transunion and one on both Equifax and Experian. I have three GECRB inquiries on Transunion and I looked up the Dillard's American Express (a GECRB card) on the credit pulls database and it said that Equifax is pulled for the Dillard's American Express, but Transunion is used for the store card. Should I apply online or in-store to make sure that I can specify I want the American Express card since my Equifax score is higher than my Transunion score?
Do the Fidelity 2% Amex and other American Express network cards that go through different banks get you access to the American Express event presale and discount offers?
I know of the American Express Centurion, the Visa Black Card, the J.P. Morgan Palladium, and the Merrill Accolades American Express. Can you name some others?
I called Chase today and the representative told me that I would probably be approved to have my account upgraded to Visa Signature status in February. He indicated that they will probably give me a credit line increase once my card has an interest rate and that I could get the upgrade without another hard pull. I got the card in February of last year.
