This was a franchise store. I was going to try the standard facta form letter to make sure this isn't a case of "mistaken identity" If I'm approaching this the wrong way, I'd appreciate your input... I'm still quite new to the intricacies of this process. Unfortunately I missed the window to force midlands hand into validating the debt. Aarons isn't reporting, but midland is. Midland was the second ca to handle this debt, so I'm thinking their documentation of this account is slim to none. I'm also unsure what, if any, information related to the account Aarons mat have. I've tried a dv letter to midland, as well as a bbb dispute. They won't budge and won't provide any proof or validation of the debt. They've also verified multiple times with the cras. This is by far the worst mark on my reports right now. Around 4,000 spread between two midland accounts. Dofd was in early 2008 so it should be past sol by now also. I've been working diligently for the past 3 years on my credit, and unfortunately I made a lot of mistakes in the past. This is the worst of them. Any ideas how I may be able to force midland to validate or to prove there lack of information? Am I wrong for possibly approaching Aarons? Thanks guys for your guidance!

Hey all. I'm working on the few remaining baddies I have. Currently midland is reporting an old Aarons account that is out of Sol. I'd like to try sending a facta dispute to Aarons, however their contact info is a bit vague. I've only been able to find the corporate office address online. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with them before or has an address I could use. If nothing else I will send the dispute to the corporate address. Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone. I need some advice concerning an account placed with eos cca aka collecto. After filing a timely dv I received no response from them. However they continued to update monthly with the credit bureaus as well as verifying my disputes with the credit bureaus as well. I have since filed a bbb complaint and outlined the multiple violations they have committed concerning the continued collection activity. They have agreed to delete the items from the credit bureau in their response to the bbb. I was thinking I should demand that they neither sell nor reassign the debt as well. Now, as far as the fcra violations are concerned, should I push for some type of settlement or try to pursue this further? Am I off base in assuming that the continued activity is a violation? This is a situation I have never been in before and am unsure how to proceed. Thanks in advance for your help :-) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

Yea, I'm about 6 months out of sol now. I've disputed with the bureaus about 5 times now, each time Midland verifies. I don't think they have any original paperwork or documentation. Just running out of options, I was hoping the BBB would give me more of a result. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

I really wish I did live in Texas! Unfortunately for me here in PA, they are only bound to the federally mandated 30 day window. I chose to not ask for validation initially because the sol was still in effect. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

I should have known it wouldn't be that easy! The debts are beyond sol, they have sent numerous demands for payment. However I missed the 30 day validation window, now they won't provide anything. I really believe they don't have anything to show. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

Hi all, working on two of the last few remaining baddies on my reports. Midland has been a thorn in my side for the past year. I recently filed a BBB complaint hoping to get somewhere. One of the main issues is that midland has been reporting this account as "medical" on and off as they see fit. This was one of the issues i had mentioned in my complaint. In their response, they stated that they never reported the account as medical. The usual canned response of using an aggregate puller can sometimes add it to the report followed. Long story short, midland lied in their BBB response, and luckily i have hard copies of my reports directly from the bureau showing the medical designation. I also found it amusing that within a week of filing my complaint, the medical designation was removed from the report with their monthly update. Do i have a basis for action here? Is this what would be considered false and deceptive means of collection? These are by far the largest accounts on my report, and certainly are holding me back. I appreciate any help and advice you all can give me!

I really do hope and expect it to be more than oversight of the scoring system. I guess time will tell. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

I read on the news services today that the CFPB will begin oversight of he credit bureaus in September 30th. It's said it will ultimately resort in more accurate reporting. Not many other details however. Anyone have any details as to what the scope of their power will be, as well as how those of us in the process of credit repair may benefit? I have a charge off from plains commerce as well. I'm going to give your tactic a shot. The one time I did speak to them I was told that the account was sold. Hopefully my paperwork has vanished also. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
