  1. Just thought I would update. I sent whychat HIPAA letter to all 3 CRAs end of August. I finally got the last of the responses, all 3 bureaus deleted ALL of them. One of my reports had 23 medical collections and they are all gone!! Now that the ice is broken for me on this repair process I am researching my next move to tackle. Thank you all so much!!!
  2. I was reviewing the rest of my reports, the same 2 checks are also reporting as Payliance and Trident. Experian has all 3 listed on my reports for a total of 6 dings.
  3. Ok, I have these 2 entries on my Transunion report: Credit Business SVCS PO Box 4127 FT Walton, FL 32549 Placed for collection: 01/30/2009 Balance: $83 Original Amount: $63 Account Type: Open Account Loan Type: Collection Agency/Attorney Original Creditor: Safe Chek (Retail) And another just like it: Credit Business SVCS PO Box 4127 FT Walton, FL 32549 Placed for collection: 01/30/2009 Balance: $90 Original Amount: $70 Account Type: Open Account On Experian and Equifax it is listed under Collection Bureau of Ft. Walton. I have email contact. Do I DV or offer a PFD? I dont mind paying them both but would rather get them deleted with payment instead of marked as paid. I have disputed them with CRA several times but they come back as verified. I have searched and searched and havent been able to find any others with this one on theirs. Thanks!!
  4. Thank you! I am going to get started on this right away.
  5. Ok thank you! I had already been trying to get started but didnt want to get ahead of myself and mess up. I have already opted out and received real credit reports for annual credit report.com. There are so many addresses on my credit report but last time I attempted to remove them they came back verified.
  6. So I called the OC (the hospital) and they said they didnt have insurance information. I told them about my call a few weeks after the fact and then a year later and she said they have no records of my calls at all. I called the insurance company and they said to have them submit the claim, it would be denied, and then file an appeal and see where it goes. Called the OC back and they said they wont file the claim at all and that they would send me an itemized bill and I could file it. This is for the 2008 visit with 4 bills totally over 8K. Guess it looks like that wont get paid by insurance. Any advice? I did not contact the CA at all even though OC told me to several times.
  7. I've been trying to clean my credit for a couple of years. I've made progress but I still have a long way to go and need to be ready to purchase my owner financed house next year sometime. My ? is, I have 19 medical collections on my account. They are all from NCO financial and basically one hospital system. One set in particular (which includes 4 bills was from when my son was pushed off a slide on a playground in 2008) should have been covered by insurance with $100 copay. Those 4 bills total over $8000. I called a few weeks after it happened and I got the bill and they said they would submit it. I pulled my credit report about a year later and there they were, I called again and they said it was past the timely filing time but they would ask for an exception. Never heard back, assumed it was good (ya I know....bad me). Anyway, there they are still on my report. The others are between various kids (I have 5) and mostly er copays and then one from a surgery last year. I wouldn't mind paying them but that $8,000 one is out of reach. Can I include that many on my HIPPA letter or is there a better approach? I cant let them age off because there are just too many recent ones. If it helps any, I have made sure to keep up on all my medical bills since. Thanks! Jackie
  8. We have actually bought several cars from buy here pay here dealers. My family has too. Just make sure its mechanically sound before you buy it. Sometimes they sell some pieces of crap. OTOH sometimes the cars are great. My Mom is still driving the 1993 Mercury Villager my husband and I bought off one of those lots. We paid almost 3k for it 8 years ago and the only work besides routine maintenance was a water pump. YMMW
  9. I got online approval last night for the Capital One platinum too. I didnt know they didnt report high limit. So does it make any sense at all to keep this card?
  10. Thats the one that I actually copied and pasted to do my editing on but in my hurry to show you which one I was using I grabbed the wrong one to post.
  11. No I am not sending any id cards, lol. I just didnt know whether to use maiden, married, or both since its on one credit report with maiden and one with married. Since I never changed my name to married on my ss card I still have to file taxes using maiden. Wouldnt that make my maiden my legal name? Thank you for your help, btw.
  12. I am using this one: Greetings: In a recent review of my credit report, I noticed that your company has placed an erroneous and derogatory entry, claiming that I owe you $496.00. I have no account with you, nor have I ever. The account number referenced above is all the information that I have concerning this alleged debt. Since you saw fit to place this item on my credit report, you obviously have all the information you need in order to investigate and correct your error. Under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), I have the right to request validation of the debt you say I owe you. I am requesting proof that I am indeed the party you are asking to pay this debt, and there is some contractual obligation which is binding on me to pay this debt. Please also be aware that a sworn affidavit from your compliance officer does not constitute a valid validation of this debt. I'm sure your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could put your company in serious legal trouble with the FTC and other Federal and State agencies. In addition to the questionnaire below, please attach copies of: Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt, or proof of acquisition by purchase or assignment. Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he agreed to pay the creditor. Please also be advised that this letter is not only a formal dispute, but a request that you cease and desist any and all telephone collection I require compliance with the terms and conditions of this letter within 30 days, or a complete withdrawal, in writing, of any claim. In the event of noncompliance, I reserve the right to file charges and/or complaints with appropriate County, State & Federal authorities ,the BBB and State Bar associations for violations of the FDCPA, FCRA, and Federal and State statutes on fraudulent extortion . I also hereby reserve my right to take private civil action against you to recover damages. edited and changed to fit my situation of course
  13. One other question while I am at it. My ss card still uses my maiden name, I have never legally changed it over with them. My DL has my married name on it. One credit report uses my maiden and the other my married name. NCO is on both so should I digitally sign my letter with maiden or married?
  14. Ok, 1 more question. Do I include all the information above on my letter or just the amount and partial account number??? The sample letter I found does not include original creditor.
  15. No I am not sure I got any initial communication. I know the second one I got nothing at all, the first one maybe, but thats a big maybe. Guess I need to find a sample letter to fire off to both.
