Alright bob, your next credit experiment is as follows. Max out every last one of those cards in one month, let it sit until your scores update. Lets see how much of a hit they take, then when the next statement hits PIF. The following month, report back to us what happened. 1.1 mil isn't much I'm sure you can handle it. Your mission begins now, once you read this.

USAA will not let you increase the size of the credit limit on the card once its open. They'll let you add to the CD, but not the card. Don't know why. Know from personal experience.

I was pretty sad, I was hoping to use it for some PayPal purchases this evening. :\

HOWDY. I was approved for a paypal extras mastercard today, but I have a problem. I applied online through my paypal account and was told I needed to call an 800 number. I called the number, answered ID questions, and was approved for a $5,000 limit. The problem is, I don't see it linked to my PayPal account. When my girlfriend was approved for the smart connect she had an option to manage and view the account through her PayPal account immediately. I don't see that appearing for me at all. Any advice from anyone?

Those of a mid/high- 600's and up only variety... You have to have pretty darn good credit for them to show you any love. Or a military background :-X

Anyone know when USAA reports their credit cards? Opened a new one about a week ago. Haven't seen it hit the reports yet. Thanks

Well, here's to nothing. Just shot off a goodwill letter to 9 email addresses at Capital One. Looks like Capital One email addresses are formatted as firstname.lastname@capitalone.com. Did some research on their executive team and shot off emails to everyone who may be in a position to help. I know it's a long shot with Capital One, but who knows. WISH ME LUCK.

9 times out of 10, with a GEMB backed credit product, if you get a 7 - 10 message you're declined.

Yep. When you try to apply online now, if you read the terms it has capital ones name in there. No longer chase!

I still don't get why there's such a huge difference between the two scores. The reports are damn near identical. There's almost no difference between the two. It has the same exact accounts on there, all reporting the same way.

what are you doing for the other half of credit repair? Just letting the accounts that have been acquired over the past year age. I'm not even sure how these accounts were acquired because the chargeoff was less than 2 years old when they were opened. I guess in some cases it does help to fully pay off a chargeoff instead of letting it just age off. Of course now, it's been completely deleted . In the past year the following cards were acquired... Hooters, walmart, amazon, paypal smart connect, a capital one secured and an unsecured, Firestone/CFNA. Kinda went overkill, but once they all age it'll be useful because once new credit is added it'll be harder to hurt the AAOA.

UGHHHH. SO WEIRD. So my EQ dropped 10 points right... TU updated today... Went from 618 to............... 647. I'm excited, just baffled as to why EQ did what it did. There were no other changes on the EQ or TU reports other than the chargeoff account being deleted. Can't wait till the 15th to see what the EX score changes to. <3 PSECU

I have both. I don't see any alerts about anything relating to a rebucketing. How about your average age? did that drop? That should be on the first or second tab of the scorepower. I've seen scorewatch alerts here from people when they were rebucketed. I don't think it uses that word in partiucular but they make it quite clear what happened. I can't find where it shows AAOA. Although, on USAA you can see AAOA. It looks like I only lost 0.1 years. Fortunately there are student loans that predated the first credit card, which help the AAOA. For reference, AAOA is 1.2 years. It was 1.3 years.
