  1. Has anyone not been able to open a NASA account due to a chexsystems issue? Not for me ... someone I'm helping out. When he called to find out the status of his app, they said he had to contact chexsystems. They are mailing him a report in 5-10 biz days. He doesn't remember ever bouncing a check. Anyone? Thanks! Spacely
  2. Not with your T/L's. Close it. Spacely
  3. http://www.epfcu.org (Engraving and Printing Federal Credit Union) A buddy of mine works for OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) and is a member of this credit union. He's been with them for about 2 years and thought it could be something useful so I'm contributing. Membership requirements: http://www.epfcu.org/membership.html He currently qualified for their Platinum Visa with a 35K limit. They pulled Equifax in NY back in Nov '06. His EQ score is in the high 600's. Spacely
  4. Why do you have to wait to get your score? I've found that I can't pull via myfico.com when an alert is in effect but you should be able to pull directly from Equifax.com In any event, congrats, you've made awesome progress. Spacely
  5. Seems that all my new T/L's opened via instant credit this season .... creditors pulled EQ. Banana Republic ... traditionally an EX puller, pulled EQ. Bloomingdales ... same thing Macy's CLI - they have always, always pulled EX Bebe - for my wife (I swear) Is it me or is New York becoming an EQ state? Spacely
  6. LOL ... this thread has an "appropriate" heading. Spacely
  7. Same with me. Been waiting about 3 weeks now. Spacely
  8. Not sure with Penfed, but I know that when I added my sis as an auth. user, when she went for credit, some card issuer's told her that they didn't factor those accounts on her credit report for denial/acceptance as they knew that they were AU accounts. Spacely
  9. Why would he need the phone #? The OP should'nt be calling anyone. Sounds like he already has ... and he has gotten nowhere ... just fustrated. Spacely
  10. Won't she risk getting that account frozen? Spacely
  11. Hmmm... whats in your wallet?.... Capital One is probably the most conservative lender out there. You'd have a better experience elsewhere. Cap One is the extreme. Spacely
  12. When I viewed the details of a results of a dispute online via Experian's website, I seen a section that read: Important Message From Experian ____________________________ CHASE MORTGAGE SERVICES 87455801210...... (not real #) PLEASE CONTACT CREDIT GRANTOR AT (PHONE NUMBER) Anyone seen anything like this before? Should I be contacting them? Spacely
  13. I applied for the card for 90 day same as cash for a laptop as xmas present. Instant approval but the limit was $3500. (Thru Juniper -- pulled TU in NY) Does anyone have a limit over 5K on this card? I've been seeing pretty low limits. Spacely
