  1. My balance was zero. I assumed that They didn't mail zero balance statements. Then they added a annual fee , but never was received statement. So lateness was due to annual fee charge
  2. Need advice. Credit report notification showed 30 day late with Chase. It seems that Chase was mailing statements to wrong address and wrong spelling of my name. I contacted Chase regarding the problem. They updated proper spelling and address, but refused to update credit report. This is the response I received: A statement notification is sent to your personal e-mail address within two to three business days of your billing statement cycle date. This e-mail notification will advise you that your bill is available to view and pay online. If you did not receive this notification, please verify and update your e-mail address online. If your e-mail address contains a SPAM blocker, you will need to register the e-mail address, Chase@notify.chase.com / ; CardmemberServices@notify.cardmemberservices.com, to allow; your e-mail notifications to be received. I am unable to remove the late payment reflected on your credit bureau report for the account ending with----. A delinquency is reported to the credit bureaus when the full minimum amount due is not received for two consecutive months. To preserve the integrity of the credit bureau reporting system, I am unable to alter valid information that is reflected on a credit report. Your previous payment had been on 10/18/2009, so I ordered copies of your November 2009, December 2009, and January 2010 statements and they should be received by 01/22/10 at the address listed on your account. 3. I had applied for better cards a few months ago. But even with scores in the mid 600's, most bank's denied credit for multiple reasons. Balances too high. Recent late payment , too many inquires. If I cancel the account, will it re-age my average credit card age?
  4. I'm assuming I'm look at a FICO score. It is from equifax.com My report stating the following: Negative Factors The following 2 new negative factor(s) are hurting your score: * The time since your most recent account opening is very recent * You have too many bank/national revolving accounts with balances being reported The same day that the new acct appeared, my score went from 680 to 633. Today it is back up to 714. How long will this new acct affect my score?
  5. I made a mistake and accepted a card from 1st Premiere thinking the addtional credit would help my ratio. Well, it hurt my EQUIFAX rating real bad. 50 point drop in return for $300 credit line. If I cancel card, will it fix my score? What are my options?
  6. Here is my problem. My PROVIDIAN/WAMU/CHASE card had a zero balance as of November 2008. Sometime in January I got notice for CRA's about a 30 DAY LATE. I contacted WAMU a the time and said how can I be late with a ZERO balance. They said that I had a balance , but it was due to the annual fee being charged. I was unaware of this fee. Therefore assumed my card balance was ZERO. They gave me info regarding sending a fax to remove it. Came of 30 days later, then went back on in April after Chase took over. I recently sent them a "good will" letter asking them to remove it for CR. This is the response that I received. Dear ....... 8. Hi all First time post for me. So here is my problem. In July 2007, I went to see a doctor and provided my Blue Cross insurance to them. Then in Feb 2008, I receive this collection letter from IC Systems for $90 stating i was for an unpaid visit to my doctor. I contacted CA and told them that claim was paid by insurance. They said it wasnt paid and that it was my responsibility. I contacted Blue Cross. They said the claim was not filed correctly and to re-submit the claim with the doctor. I called the doctor. Explained the situation. They said its out of their hands and to contact the CA. I really didn't want to deal with then CA. I decided to call Blue Cross back and asked them to re-process the claim. They did and the doctor was paid. I disputed this with Experian multiple times and they keep sending me the same answer, "Account meets requirement of Fair Reporting Act". What is my best attack to get this off of Experian? CanI provide them with copy of payment from Blue Cross? They are the only bureau that hasn't removed the entry. How much does a collection mark like this affect your score?
