I can confirm Dr. Tang's 85 Soft Inquiries to Bump Equifax

So seeing as how I still have too many hards and only 2 daily pullers, I was thinking about getting an AMEX for CS. Should I freeze both EX and EQ (they both have quite a few inq. EQ 4 EX 14) so that they might pull TU (0) for the application? I don't really know what other options I have. -

Looks like an Amex is needed for CS. Is this correct? Also, if anyone knows any amex's that usually use TU only for approving please let me know. I have 0 inqs on that one in comparison to 14 on EQ =/ -

Congrats to those who cleared/ in the process of clearing EQ!! I just received MPM in the mail today and pulled my first one. So I'm currently using them and CCT. This is the only type of pulling and checking I do on my reports. Seeing as how the magic number is in the 80's, it looks like I'll need a third puller. Any recommendations? -
Same boat as you guys. Florida = EQ My TU's have gone down from 6 to 2 but not a single one from EQ (12) =/ Just gotta give it time...

1)I'll have about 30 minutes tops for the presentation Enough time to get them interested hopefully! 2)College students so I assume their skill lvl isn't great. It would be just basic things here and there to keep them informed and if they become curious they'll have the ability to find whatever it is they want to investigate in detail.

So as I stated in a previous post, I have learned sooo much through CB that it's only fair to pay-it-forward. I'm trying to create a presentation for my fraternity on Credit Education. From things like what cards to apply for based on your current credit standing, what bump is and how it helps, validation, etc. If anyone has any links to any great posts that could help me get this going I would greatly appreciate it! Cheers

First you gotta make sure you're no longer on the trial period. Once that's taken care of, you should be able to order your report everyday, free of charge. I just started getting B* from TU (I had 6-7 INQ's and i'm down to 3) about a week ago. I still haven't gotten a single B* from EQ (which is the one I need B* from the most). I started pulling about 45 days ago. YMMV.

Of course. I'm not stopping until the 800's

What's my best option in terms of getting a loan.

Why would I apply for a Joint Auto Loan if the money is being used for the apartment. Wouldn't I have to show proof of buying a car if I get an Auto Loan? -
So CCT has helped in terms of B* but boy are they off in terms of their score. Their Fako's give me 704 EQ and 713 TU. Real FICO scores: 642 EQ and 645 TU Main problems are high balances (which will be almost completely eliminated within the next 2 months), quite a few inqs (CCT to the rescue), and credit length and history. This one is the only one I don't really have control over. Just gotta ride it out and let time prove that I can handle my credit responsibly. Thanks again CB for everything! I've learned so much on these forums. I really want to prepare a presentation for my fraternity for next month to help spread credit education. What I've learned reading through these posts = priceless

So I'm moving back to Miami this week!!! There's only one problem...I need to finish scraping up the rest of the money for the deposit and 1st months rent for the new place and also some furniture and whatnot. Until then I'll be crashing at the dorms. My credit score is decent (pretty high util and only about 2-3 years of history, but no negs) but I have no source of income other than my parents. This makes it very hard for me to be approved for a loan. My dad joined the Air Force about 2 years ago and has a stable source of income. He'll be getting his yearly bonus in about 2 months. However, his credit score is horrendous Before joining the Air Force we almost lost our house and we had one of our car's repo'd and yea, not a pretty picture. He's still fixing things but obviously it's going to take some time. My dad would be okay with getting a loan for me since he'll be able to pay it off once the bonus comes in. So here's my question to you guys and gals: Given what I've told you more or less, do you think NFCU would be able to work something out with my dad. He would be able to provide proof of income and of the yearly bonus. I would love to get the loan myself but without proof of income, it's darn near impossible. I'm a member of NFCU but my dad hasn't joined yet. If I was able to use my credit score and his proof of income this would be sooo much easier!!! Thanks for the help in advance

Yea, exactly what mahler said....call and tell them it's too much and they'll drop the monthly price. Then you can either ride out the trial membership and start pulling once it's over or cancel the trial right then and there. I'm actually waiting right now for 3:00 a.m. to hit so I can pull. I have an unhealthy addiction to CCT =P
