What are the laws on notification?

I have 3 student loans out, 2 are in good standing, and one is not, i tried locating the loan, called school nothing they said i didnt have one besides the other 2, never got a letter, trust me if i knew about this loan or could locate it it would be in good standing because a defferment is a simple letter, D&V? i think thats what ill do, anything else? im not in the position to do a pay for delete on this one
