I recently made a repayment plan for my student loan info... As a review the bill their is a collection of a (COLLECTION COST OF$1,291.01) from what I have read this amount is extra from neither the principal nor the interest I have to pay from the original amount.

1. My fist question is this legal?

2. Is their any way around it?

3. Have any one have this problem before?

The company name is California student commission

Any help would be fantastic

As LynnInMn has said in other posts: "Collection cost are included in your original prom note..."all collection fees applicable by law". [Your loan issuer] is not charging you the fee...your guarantor is. "
