defaulted loans listed twice, please help

I have three SL from Citibank that report delinquent and "Claim Filed with the Government". Then Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corp lists these same 3 loans as a Paid Collections. I did default on these loans through Citibank and then TGSL did take up the colletion. I then refinanced the loans. My question is, can Citi and TGSL both list these on my CR for the same loans?

unfortunately, yes.

 

you could try to dispute them and hope to get them deleted, but unless they are reporting incorrect information such as dates, amounts, etc, then they are doing nothing wrong.

Suggest contacting the original lenders (Citi and TGSL) and request that the TL's be deleted since the loans were paid in full.

Do you think Sallie Mae would delete their TL since they have been paid in full and fall off in 13 months? Anyone had any luck with them deleting paid charge off's?
