Question about a deferred loan

Quick question:

 

I went to a community college, and during my last semester there I took out a stafford loan in the amount of $1750 through Direct Loans. I have since left that community college for another one (I moved to a different county), and I have NOT done the exit loan counseling yet (but I will shortly). Should i contact the school or the DOE about deferment, or am I okay? I'm still in school full-time, just not with the same community college.

It depends on your school, but I would recommend contacting DOE (you can do it online) and they'll let you know if you need to do anything through your school. Just make sure to stay on top of it.
