Hello All, I've been reading this board for awhile, but haven't come across and answer to this question:

I filed for BK in October of '06. I had a student loan with Sallie Mae that while I had been late in the past, I had been up to date since Jan '06. When I filed for BK they wouldn't accept payments from me (I tried) now they are showing my account as in collections for that month. I don't think that is correct especially since I never went to collections with them and began repaying as soon as they would accept the payments. Should I send them a letter asking them to correct this?
