I have an old Direct Merchants ca that was bought by cap1, and according to the tl it looks like cap1 has re-aged the account. Could someone plese let me know what the best course of action would be to remove both these entries from my cr. Thanks

If you accepted the cap1 offer, then this is legal as you created a new contract with them. However, if you did not, dispute it as reaged and show the DMCCB tl only and no other information.

I never accepted the cap1 offer. I received several offer through the mail but never acted upon them. Do I dispute with the CRAs? Could you please let me know what types of things I should say in the dispute.

Capital one will buy a debt in a minute and quickly place it on your report.

Re-aging a debt is wrong, but I would dispute the Cap 1 debt as 'not mines'.

Whatever you do, don't dispute the date, because that is admitting it is yours.

DMCCB

This is suppose to be 0. But DON'T dispute it as that. (that is admitting it is yours).

DMB is having financial trouble, and they are moving things around. This would mean to me that they can't get to information quickly.

You could try to dispute this. You might have a chance of getting it off.

Others may differ, but this is what I would do.
