Verifying Late Payments with Sallie Mae

I have multiple student loans with sallie mae. They show 60 days late 1 time in 2001 on Equifax. The same loans show 60 days late in 1 time in 2003 and one time in 2002 on TU. They do not show up at all on EX. I have written several times to Sallie Mae disputing that these loans were ever late at all, but also asking them to send me their records showing when they think they were late. Each time they send a letter saying that updates have been made. They change the date to a different month or sometimes a different year, but the 2 reports are never the same.

 

So the question is this... How are they screwing this up everytime, coming up with something different. It tells me that they don't really have a very good record of things. Can I use any of this to make them take all the lates off completely since they post it as something different everytime I dispute it?

 

The down side to continuing to push this is that I don't want the Equifax record, which is currently due to drop off in about a year, to be changed to 02 and 03 like the TU is.

 

Anyone know how to go about using there inconsistancy against them to make them remove it?

A 60 day late over 4 years old isn't really hurting your score so why are you going through the pain?

 

DW has 3 year old 120 and 150's( like oh 20 of them) on hers and she has better scores on some of her CR;s than I have.

I think they are lowering my score. The main problem is there are 12 accounts. 3 of them were also reporting 90 days late, which is also part of inconsistency since they were all deferred together. But anyway, the 3 90 day lates just fell off due being 7 years old along with some 60 days lates on the same accounts. That caused my score to go up 60 points. Also, these student loan lates are the only negatives left on my reports so I would like them off ASAP, just to finish the the whole deal.
