GMAC

Have not seen much discussion about GMAC bank, but I have had nothing but great experiences with them so far. I have had money in GMAC for about a month now and I think they have the best user interface for online savings yet IMO. Very easy to open, they do a soft pull, Customer service is great, easy to add external links (huge plus for me), easy to push and pull, checks and a check card, and the yield is over %5. Just throwing my experience with them so far.

I only have 2 complaints about GMAC.

 

1. They never resent me a pin for my MMA debit card. ( I shredded the original pin number)

 

2. They never added my hubby to either account. He is the person named if I die.

Are you sure it was a soft? I've read on other websites that GMAC always pulls a hard on TU (I think it was TU.)

Yup... I specifically called them to verify and asked the CSR three times if it was a soft (very friendly service) and he laughed and put his right arm on the soft pull. And I can verify that as well.

I got a hard pull from GMAC. Was EQ or TU. Gone now. It may have been for the CD, though. I opened the money market and CD at the same time. When I opened another CD later, I did NOT get a hard pull, though.
