I am needing to get an alt loan to pay for the rest of this semester in med school. I am about 5K short for tuition alone (exclusing any cost of living, etc). My FICOs from a last week are in my sig as well as the negs. I applied to Sallie Mae in Aug (when I had all the baddies) and was denied. Not offered a co-signor, etc. They pull EQ and unfortunately its the one with a CO vs. the other 2. TU has 2 older student loan lates (1 paid off, the other consolidated...both several yrs old). EX has 1L being disputed.

I dont want to waste pulls but desperately need an ALT loan. All other options have been exhausted.

My husband (perfect credit) may be able to co-sign but would REALLY like to avoid that since he will have to buy a car in the coming month or two and pulls arent goingto help him and who knows how co-signing will effect that.

Is there a lender than I can do on my own? The school lists the following approved lenders: SM, Bank One, Key, and Access.
