My student loan was in deferrment until the fall of 2003. I paid it in full on March 17, 2003.

Later that year I got a copy of my credit report and found that they ( SM) were reporting me as 90 days late in April 2003 and 120 days late in May of 2003. This is during the deferrment, and AFTER the loan was paid in full!

I called them , ( I now know not to call) and they humbly admitted the obvious error and said that it would be fixed immediately.

Over 2 years later it is still there. I have disputed it with the bureaus. I have sent disputes threw the FTC. I have called Sallie Mae many times. They always say that they are fixing it right away.

I have gotten letters admitting the incorrect reporting from Sallie Mae and included them with my disputes to the bureaus and the account still comes back verified as correct.

What is the best letter to send to once and for all get fast results?
