I finished rehab and AES/PHEAA reported to all 3 CB's. THe default status was removed and my scores jumped from the low 600's to mid 600's. My scores are around 650-660 (except TU=700). I'm going to apply for a mortgage soon, but I'm so frustrated because all the lates are still on EX (numerous 60 and 120 days late on 11 loans...back in 2001). Experian is not working with me at all! I recently disputed the lates and I received a letter stating that they need to investigate further because the letters I sent them were not acceptable. EQ isn't so bad, I only have 5 lates that are coming directly from the original creditor. I thought about sending them a goodwill letter and hopefully get the lates from EQ removed. Should I continue to work on getting these lates removed or just be satisfied with my scores in the mid 600's...and wait out 3 more years before they fall off? Anyone have any advice? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
