With FICO scores up to 704 - 716 for the first time in about 8 years, I'm looking to open up some credit cards that will eventually have high limits. Ideally I would like to have about $25k available to me on rewards cards so I can put my $4k monthly spend on them without breaking 15% utilization. I don't care about the interest rate because I pay in full.
I have a 2005 BK on my reports but a solid payment history after and nothing negative since then and no inquiries.
I have searched around here for suggestions, and I see people with $20k Citi cards still getting CLI's so I was going to give them a try. I also shop Amazon a lot, and was going to try for an Amazon card too. I realize I'm not likely to get high limits right off the bat, but I don't want to waste my time with cards that are unlikely to ever go above $5k.
I'm looking for a couple good CC suggestions and what can I do once I have the cards to encourage CLI? I realize my average account age will go down, so I'm not looking to go on an app spree.
Please forgive me if this has been answered a million times before.
