  1. Thank you for your quick responses!!! The Americredit TL isn't that old (since Oct. 2007). My AAOA is about four years; however, I am being added as an AU to one of my wife's credit cards (10 yrs) so that should help increase my age. I'm seriously thinking about disputing the lates. Hopefully they'll be deleted.
  2. Ok, here's my situation: My reports are almost clean. I recently paid off my car loan with Americredit. I have two 30-day lates on my report from Nov. 08 and Feb. 09, which are incorrect. I've sent numerous GW letters to Americredit to no avail. I'm considering disputing the lates on my credit report but have read that doing so might cause the TL to be deleted. I'd really like to keep the TL; however, i'm more concerned with having a totally clean report. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

  4. I haven't contacted the creditor yet. Which would you recommend? Phone or mail contact?
  5. Hi CB, About a month ago, I disputed a TL with CSC Credit Services. The TL was a loan that I PIF back in 6/03. It had two late payment notations which I didn't remember (hence, the dispute), a 30 and 60 day. This morning I checked my CR. The TL in question has been updated to reflect a 90 day late as of last month (11/09). How is this possible when the loan has been paid for almost 7 years? Is this legal? Needless to say I am furious about the situation. Please advise me on how I should respond (GW, Nutcase, dispute w/ CRA)? Thanks in advance. - USAJags
