  1. Hello~ I applied for CapOne, Chase, and Citi for my business on 7/21/09. Two days after I applied I decided to apply for a Staples card and they did not ask for a PG. I do not have a Paydex score yet and am still waiting on my D&B # to come in the mail but I do have an EIN #. Even though all of these were business cards that I applied for I still had to use my personal credit,(except for the Staples). My credit is in great shape. No bad marks at all. Anyway, CapOne sent me a denial letter 6 days later stating that I had too many inquires on my report. Chase sent me a letter within 6 days as well asking for a copy of my social security card. I refuse to send a copy of my ss card so I probably won't get an approval from them. I still have not heard from Citi. Their website stated that they would respond within 7-10 days. It has been 8 business days since I applied and still no answer. I did get a denial from Staples in the mail today. It stated that I would have to write in or call to find out why I was denied. Staples credit is thru Citi so I'm confused as to why I got a decision from Staples but nothing so far from Citi. My question is for any of you that have done business with Citi. How long did it take for them to get back to you? Chase said 30 days at the end of their app and it only took them 6 days. Citi said 7-10 days and I still have not heard from them. Do you think that it could be that I have been approved? Usually denial letters come fast. Thanks in advance.
  2. No it is my real FICO score,(how do you make a fake one?), and there are not a lot of inqs or high amounts such as debt to income on my report. So I am still baffled as to why they declined me. I guess I'll have to wait for their letter to find out.
  3. It is my real FICO score~~nothing fake. I just don't understand why they denied the app. I only have a few inquiries on my report as well. I guess I'll have to wait for their letter to find out.
  4. I started my business last year. This is what I do and don't have: Don't have: tradelines Do have: Biz lic, EIN, D&B # on it's way, listed in 411 and in Google search, AND my credit score is over 750. So I decided it was time to try for a business credit card. I applied with Chase and they didn't say yay or nay~~They said they would send me a letter~~that doesn't sound good! Then I applied with Citi~~Same thing. Then I tried Capital One. THEY DENIED ME???!!! They said they would send me a letter explaining why. I'm really shocked as my credit is A1 and I had to use my personal credit as a PG. I guess I don't understand why Capital One would turn me down. I thought they were the easy ones to get credit from. I am not holding my breath for Chase and Citi as they will probably do the same. So do you think I was denied because my business does not have any tradelines? I have applied for some but I am still waiting to find out if I got them Thanks in advance
  5. joemama~How long have you had your card? Just wondering if Citi just changed their rules or if i was talking to a rep that didn't know what she was talking about,(which is possible). Thanks
  6. Hi everyone~ Some of you might already know this info but I wanted to share what I have been researching all day. I have read that some business credit cards do report to your personal credit and some don't so I decided to get on the phone and check for myself. Here are the companies I called and asked: USBank does NOT report your biz credit to your personal credit UNLESS you default. They do not have an online app you have to go into a branch to apply. They DO report to your biz credit no matter what and they DO ask for a PG. Discover reports to both your personal and biz. (THAT STINKS!) Amex does NOT report to your personal credit IF you have a Corp card. They DO report to your personal credit if you have a small biz card. Citibank reports to your personal credit report. Wells Fargo does NOT report to your personal credit UNLESS you default. I couldn't find an online app for them as well. They want you to go into a branch to apply or over the phone. Chase does NOT report to your personal credit UNLESS you default and they have an online app. Capital One does NOT report to your personal credit UNLESS you default. Now keep in mind that these companies still want a PG and they will pull a credit report on your personal credit but most of them will not report anymore info unless you don't pay the bill. These are the only ones that I was able to get thru today. If anyone else has info on any other company or the companies i listed PLEASE chime in.
