I have a question. I have filed Bankruptcy and I will be discharged 2 years in Dec 2010. I have been rebuilding credit and perfect payment for 20 months now ( since filing) . I am wondering if I have to wait for the two full years to be up before I can start the home buying process or can I start this summer ? Thank for any help.

I am 1 yr post discharge. I was hoping to buy a home with the new tax credit extension. But will I ever be able to find a mortgage 1.5 yrs post bankruptcy? I wanted to be able to move by this summer. I dont know where to start . I did call one bank they said for FHA 2years coventinal 4 years. I am so depressed and I havent even started the search yet. Any info would be great. Thanks
