  1. If a charge off for rent and utilities in Kentucky is on my credit report, will it drop off after 5 years or is it considered a written contract and can stay on for 15?
  2. I've read so much my eyes are crossed and I am more confused than ever. I can't find the main post you mention. I just don't want to offer a settlement to get rid of them, only to bring us to their attention and have them sue us. I'm not sure which date will apply for SOL with LVNV being so evil, I am feeling overwhelmed!!
  3. I am really unsure of how to proceed with LVNV. My husband has been fighting with this company since the beginning of 2007. They are reporting it twice on his credit report so it is really hurting his score. The collection has been dormant though for about a year and half. I wasn't sure if I should just wait for it to fall off the report, or try to settle with them. I decided to wait. Now, though, we would really like to refinance and won't be able to unless we deal with this. Does anyone have some advice on if it is wise to wake the giant? Thanks!
  4. Hi. I am a newbie, so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong area. I have read so much information my eyes are now crossed! I have just started the process of cleaning up my reports and I need some advice. I have a medical charge off that was paid and is due to drop off my report in Jan 2010. Should I try to get it removed or just leave it until it drops? I am afraid if I try to get it removed they will use that to start the reporting process again. Any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
