  1. By the way I was able to talk to my bank and they agreed that it was something that they should have caught so the loan officer said he would take to his boss and take care of it. Thanks for all you guys helping me.
  2. Thanks for the reply, the loan funded on Friday and that is when they caught the mistake. It's not that I don't want to pay them I don't have the money and will not have the money for some time. The reason I had to refinance is because my mortgage payment we up so high that we were barely making ends meet for several months. The Loan officer knew this and suggested that we refinance to get lower rate. Over the last month I was told 5 different amounts to bring to closing, I explained to the LO that I would be using my paycheck for closing gave him the max that I would be able to pay he said he would stay under that amount. When he called me to tell me that I did not have to bring anything to closing I was at work when I left for the day I called him back to verify that the amount did not change again (third time it changed that day), he said the final number was 0. To make sure that I would not have to pay anything I called the LO the day before closing and I called the title company the day of closing to verify the closing amount. So after closing I paid the bills that I needed to pay and now they want me to come up with this money and I can’t.
  3. Hi Brian thanks for the reply, we was told that we would have to pay something at closing. Every time I called the bank Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we were giving different amounts. When the LO told me that we not have to bring anything to closing that was on Friday and it was also the third time he called in one hour to change the amount. I called and verified with the bank on Monday and Tuesday before closing the amount I was to bring. Both times they assured me that it was 0. BTW the LO that I was dealing with is the assistant Vice President/Mortgage Loan officer. I feel that this mistake should have been caught and I should not have to try to come up with almost a grand after closing.
  4. Also Can they make us pay these charges after the loan closed?

    Refinance

I need to advise on how to handle this situation. I refinanced my house; last Tuesday was my closing the title company came out to the house. We signed all the documents and were told about the 3 day right to cancel the loan. I get an email today saying that the bank forgot to add in a charge on line 902 to be paid by borrower. This charged is 980.60, we did not have to pay anything at closing and because it’s a FHA refinance we only rolled over the MIP into the mortgage. When we decided to refinance the bank kept going up and down on the amount that we would have to bring to closing and finally they said they will pick up the cost. I was told by the LO that the bank funded the loan Friday but they need us to come up with this money. I am upset because we were told that the bank would pay for the refinance because they are already our lender and now this fee is coming out of nowhere. What can I do?
  6. Thanks a lot for this information, DW is a au on my AMEX so she decided to give this a try. The app was not a auto approved got a call from Discover today to verify some income information and wanted to know why she filed bk seven years ago. (they were included also)Then he said was approved for a 1000.00 limit on their Motiva card. I did not think they would give it to her seeing how she filed them in BK. once again thanks for the info.
  7. I got the same offer 3 days ago for the Walmart card. I also have GEMB Sams club and just got approved for Lowes card last week. I thought they just sent me this letter because they pulled my credit report and approved me for this as well. I will say that I don't shop at Walmart enough to have a store card so I will not take them up on this offer.
  8. 6 days ago I was able to change my address with a rep they said that they did not have any income information so that is why it has taken so long. I gave them my income information. I called yesterday only to find out that the app is still in review and the rep still put wrong address in the system again. Once again they tell me that they can't change address while app is in review status so I still have to call every day so my information will not go to wrong address.
  9. Requested a credit limit increase for my Home Depot card asked for 2000.00 previous limit was 1250 so new limit would be 3250. I logged on today to find my limit at 4000.00. Jan of 2011 I would have card one year.
  10. I don't understand how they put an old address on there when my statements come to my house. Maybe a month prior to me accepting the offer at the atm machine I went in to the branch so that a personal banker could help me set up my bill payment and she told me that I was approved for one of their cards and I declined. If I would have just accepted the card at the bank then the app would probally have the right address on it.
  11. On 11/6/10 I was offered a credit card while withdrawing money from a Chase atm machine. I did not fill out a application or anything. When I noticed I did not receive anything in mail I called them to find out my app was still being reviewed and they have a old address from 2 years ago on application. I was told that as long as the app is still in review they cannot change the address. Has anyone else got an offer like this? How long does it take for Chase to process a application.

    203k

I have a question that I hope someone would be able to help me with. I bought a home last year and I now want to refinance and finish the basement I was wondering if it is possible to get a 203k loan or something like it. I currently have a fha mortgage would like to finish basement but do not have the equity in the house as it stand to take out a conventional loan. Is there a fha program that could help me.
  13. Right now my util is 15% and I just added nationwide to my collection of card so my util will not be a factor atleast I dont think so. I will call and cancel those cards, if they waived annual fee then I will keep.
  14. which report did they pull from, also what does your scores and util look like.
