Well my credit is still pretty new, I opened my first account on January 2008. I opened 7 accounts last year and have removed two collections from my credit report, still working on two more. The scored are about 600 in Equifax and 620 in Transunion, pretty much the same as they where when fico was able to calculate a score for me. The only time Target peaked into my credit report was when they did a soft pull the day before my initial cli. Just wanted to know since I saw my apr dropping the last few months.

I received my Target Red Card in June of last year with a $200.00 CL and a APR of 20.99%. I got the some what typical $300.00 CLI at the third month mark but nothing happened at the sixth month mark. I'm at my tenth month with the card now and only recently noticed they have been dropping my APR. On my seventh statement my ARP dropped to 19.99% and on my ninth statement my APR dropped again to 19.24%. It's nothing big but I'm wondering if this trend might be a good indication that I could possibly get a cli or conversion to a visa at my year anniversary? I know it's very hard to guess what Target will do but I'm curious to know if they do this before a good cli or conversion.

I Dv'ed three times and all they would send me is a reply requesting more information on the account from me. I disputed with the CRA and they verified it with them. Next I'm just going to contact the BBB and the IL AG. I saw a sample letter and will see what info do I need to right to them. We'll see what happens.

I've sent them 3 Dv's already and in all their responses they continue to send me this same letter. On top of that they always wait to send it out 30 days after they received my DV.

I didn't do the 1-2 punch with Afni. I first DV'ed them when I was finding out about the DV proccess so at first I wanted to see what they could Validate. I just kept on sending DV after DV, I was confused as to what effect will disputing this account have since it is marked as disputed. Would you recomend disputing this before sending anything of the other letters?

Ok, so disputing with the CRA isn't worth it at this point right? Possibly because it's marked as disputed? Thanks for the help, I'll go and prepare those letters.

I sent in a third DV letter to Afni a month ago and got back a reply from them today. It is the same letter they sent me with the last two Dv's requesting info from me. The third DV I sent them had great input which pryan67 provided in this thread http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=3563496 . I was hoping to receiving a different reply from Afni but I got the same exact letter I've gotten from them before. My question is should I send a letter to the BBB and the the Attorney General of their state first and tell them that Afni has not sent me any validation or should I dispute this with the CRA first?

Ok, today I got the DV from USCB, not sure if it came about because of the letter or the phone call. It included the original contract I had with the school. Also there is a letter telling me that they have included my contract and that they are making me an offer that if I pay $137.00 they will mark the $229.00 debt as settled. My question is, since this is out of my reports now, will they just placed them back at any point? Or is there any notification? If I pay the $137.00 they are saying it will be marked as settled.

Congrats! I'm having a harder time with them though. I'm on my third and final DV with them because they can never validate the collection, all they do is send me a letter asking me to validate the collection. I would like the letter they will send me in reply to my third DV would look like yours

Wow even better things happened this morning, it fell off my Experian report. It didn't even go the entire 30 days for dispute so is it that USCB told them to delete? I'm extremely happy about this but wonder what are they planning to do. Why would they let it fall off from my report with out trying to stop it, yet call me about it? Thanks to all the great info I learned here and especially learning about validation I've gone from 4 collections in Transunion, 3 in Experian, and 3 in Equifax down to 2 in Transunion, 2 in Experian, and still at 3 in Equifax. And I just began doing simple DV's last November! Thanks!
