Name of CA? And how much $? Was it E R Systems? I DVd them last month, never heard from them again. And they are not on my reports either, at anytime. Go fig! Yep it was ER Systems, for less than $1,000. I dv'd them, they responded almost a month later. They're not on my reports either, but I don't want them to try to get bad and jump on there lol. How did I know that. OK. Real easy delete. Mine werent on my CRs either... and now, they never will be. EDIT: Thank you, cinn! Go with 2nd DV letter, saying that could be anyone that agreed and that you need Validation not verification of an address, etc. Sample Letters are your friend, they are mine. THEN ready Punch 2.. the DAY it shows received because you are sending this all Certified with Green card. Send to all 3 CRAs. I have Equifax and TransUnion address at this time, Experian may be an easy one but i havent seen it. Oh, and to your original question: Significantly less than $300 and I never heard from them again. They sent you a 50% Settlement offer, didnt they So, PayPal just dumped OLD unverifiable stuff to a CA Garbage collector, a.k.a. JDB, Junk Debt Buyer, because that is what it is, Junk.. and NCO has done similar, with however they get it. "Sweeps." See if NCO pops up on you a week or two after you send this second DV to ER. Also, let the people on here have a little time to see your thread. They are good people. Im on before lunch, but.. they dont like pushy. Just sayin, in a friendly way. Thanks for your commentary and experience with ER Solutions. Why would you say I was being pushy though? I just responded to your post asking you a question directly relating to your response? I tried to go back and edit instead of doing two posts, but it wouldn't let me. I've been on CB for some years now so I've been pretty friendly with the board ettiquette and sample letters for a while but thanks for the heads up and thanks for responding to my two questions! But yes, they sent me a settlement offer and no they are not on my credit reports, I just want to make sure they never appear there. The question I was wondering was what type of account would Paypal be considered before I start sending anything saying they are outside of the SOL? Considering it wasn't a credit account, and I clicked agree on a user agreement I didn't know if that would make it written or oral (since they don't have an actual signature.) Its written, since it was all in writing. You clicked, had same as... signing.... I dont know. Unless the respond at an address I didnt give them some long tim down the road, they seemed scared off by my DV. Not sure why now, or what is up with the account, but its very likely a deeply flawed debt. IF it comes back, and i actually dont think it will. But IF, then it will be something that looks like a joke of a "Verification" with no actual info. Just keep at it with them, they ... are scumbags. And as to the rest. I am glad I could be of some assistance! We both had the same item. Now, im TELLING you. SEE IF NCO comes on a A WEEK OR TWO LATER! Also, think about it.. They get their "Business" on the people like those that i know, that see the 50% offer.. and pay it within a week. Are you saying that you DV'D ER Solutions and then NCO popped up on your credit report??

I'm trying to figure out the statute of limitations on a paypal account. From what I've read and researched it seems that it would fall under an oral contract and be 5 years. Any thoughts? I received a collection letter yesterday from an ebay chargeback that was charged off October 5, 2003. I dv'd them and I got back something saying I agreed to be bound by the User Agreement for Paypal service by clicking "I have read and Agreed to the User Agreement." I think I'm going to send them a FOAD letter.

Complain to the better business bureau as well.

Hey congrats! Totally happy for you!

Exactly! I'm like, sheesh, does she realize we're in a down market and there's no telling when someone else will start knocking? What sense does that make? And really, why are people increasing their asking price in this market? Prices are falling not going up! i totally don't blame you, houses need to be lived in! Aside from the critters, you have to worry about Transients as well. Pain the butt!

They declined my 179K as well. I can't believe they won't even counter, you can't win if you don't play the game. The house has been on the market for over a year, is located in a marginal neighborhood, and the agent has 18-20 properties currently listed. All were built or rehabbed around 2007 and they've been trying to unload them ever since. Oh well, on to the next.

I made the offer, they declined and refused to counter. I just raised to 179K. This place is definitely not my dream home, however it will work . I'm not paying cash, I'm going with an FHA loan. We shall see. . .
