  1. ok thanks for all the help!
  2. Well, either I misunderstood the guy or he misunderstood what I was asking for... either way I ended up getting the numbers I was looking for today. and signed an agreement. Truck isn't on site and is being pulled from another dealer so we're waiting for the official approval until they send someone out to pick it up. As long as everything in financing pans out I think I'm getting a decent deal. Another question for you though Marv (or if theres more people in the field that can answer this), The dealer printed directly from his screen regarding all of the financial information, cap gross/net cost, tradein, incentives, etc, one of those lines caught my eye and didn't know what to make of it. It read "Initial payment" and was right above due at signing. it was a large number (20 times my agreed upon monthly payment). When asked, the salesman said it's something to do with the dealership and leasing company. Is this true? It was not on the paper that I signed so I tend to believe he's correct...
  3. No, you're correct Marv. I was using the wrong wording. The "Lease agreement"? Thanks guys
  4. lol, I meant THIS dealer Your not trying to sell me a truck Marv! So what happens if I agree and sign the deal to purchase and they come back and say I'm tier 3 and not a tier 1? Now my payment is way more. Can I back out?
  5. But it's normal to agree to PURCHASE the vehicle before even being approved? I filled out the application, figuring they would run my credit and let me know what tier I'm in, but he said in order to complete the application I'd have to complete all of the paperwork to actually BUY the truck in order to see if the leasing company would accept the deal. To me this just sounds odd. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong... I just want someone other than the dealer to tell me this.
  6. so this is normal?
  7. Looking to enter into a lease and dealership is refusing to give me numbers until I sign a purchase and sales agreement. Only thing they are willing to give me is the monthly payment and MSRP minus incentives/down payment. They refuse to give me residual value and money factor. What gives? We just got my fiance into a new lease at a different dealer yesterday and all of these numbers were laid out for us before signing the purchase and sales agreement. Why are they possibly doing this? How do they expect me to agree simply on a monthly price and not the residual/money factor?
  8. PSECU. What a nightmare... I knew this old judgement would still be giving me issues, but never saw this one coming! I called a third time and she started to tell me again that it was unpaid, then said wait a minute I have to put you on hold... Came back and she said Yes it's paid. Thank god... Approved for $10k!
  9. Can't seem to edit previous post, but wanted to update after a phone call to experian. Experian confirmed the judgement is being listed as Paid/Satisfied and offers no explanation to why they are not seeing it as paid. Anybody have this happened to them? Where should I go from here? I really don't feel like searching through unpacked boxes for something when it's clearly an issue on the CU's part and the 4.5hr drive to the court is out of the question.
  10. App'd for Visa from a CU today and they put application on hold until I submit documentation proving the judgement was satisfied. I don't have an issue with submitting that information once I find the box its in and unpack it, however I tried calling the CU to discuss what was shown on their side because when I pulled my new reports (while on the phone with them) it's very clear that its satisfied/PAID on my end. They tell me from what they are seeing its not. Any idea why experian is telling them its not paid? The CU told me to contact experian and have it 'fixed', but when I asked how they would receive the newly updated information they said it would result in another hard pull. Can I force experian to remove a 2nd hard inquiry if they were fursnishing incorrect/different information to creditors?
  11. Same here. do you have a loan or a CC with them that you use? How active is your checking/savings? These numbers aren't random. They are based on what you've paid into psecu for services through APR's and other fees, so if you don't have anything other than a checking/savings with $5 in it for the past 2 years dont mouse
  12. $26 here. Got the email this morning and was amazed! Never received anything like this before.
  13. Started out with a terrible score after mistakes during my college years and it took me a few years to clean my reports up, but my fiance and I are finally set to close on our home this Tuesday!!! I owe a TON to these forums, steering me in the right direction. My scores aren't the greatest yet due to high balances, but they were plenty high enough for me to be approved for an FHA loan. The mortgage process was a nightmare and everytime I saw an email or phone call from the underwriter I expected a bad response, but just kept having to feed her with info/photocopies/answers. SO GLAD THAT'S OVER. Thanks so much guys! My next plan is to get some decent cards from my credit unions and kick my toy cards to the curb. They did their job through the repair process
  14. Heres my original GFE check http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=494027 Was told in that thread everything seemed ok except the rate for the program I was taking. Things changed and now we are going straight FHA New rate is 3.625 and new APR is 4.549 with $1956 in lender credits 30yr Thanks!
  15. When I found my reports all had fraud alerts on them awhile back I was pissed... then realized it did no harm. Anytime I applied for something when I had a FA all I had to do was answer dumb lexis/nexis questions like what road I grew up on, where I had lived before, previous jobs, etc... They were all multi-answer questions. Pick one. After applying a couple places and they would ask that info it was actually quite nice to have that extra security. Should your EX try that again when you have a FA, she may or may not be able to answer the questions. You have some good advice above. Start with the police report and good luck!
