My thought exactly, as a Nikon camera man myself he is much better off with a $599 D50. Unless he gets paid for a living to take pictures there is no way he needs a $2000 camera. Take it back please, it is too much of a camera and all it will do is frustrate him and you when he doesn't use it. The D50 does 95% of everything the D200 does for much cheaper.
