  1. I don't have any checks. He bought the house from our former LL the month before we were to move out, so we never paid rent to him. The former LL transferred the deposit to him. The court date has already come and gone and the case has been decided. Isn't it too late for interrogatories?
  2. I have a judgement against a former landlord for $1375. He failed to return my security deposit. After talking all big and bad in mediation about countersuing me, etc., he did not show up for the court date. The jusdgement was entered in July of 2006 and he has not paid. I have instructions from the court on how to go about having a sheriff's sale to satisfy the judgement, but it says to garnish his wages I have to get the info myself. I have no clue where to even start. Can anyone direct me to a site that might help? I have done searches but everything I find is information for the debtor. I would rather go the garnishment route if I can because in order to have the sheriff sale, I have to put up a deposit, place ads, etc. It is going to be expensive for me. TIA!
  3. You use the same link you would use to start a new dispute. On that page there is a place to enter an Investigation # and check the progress. HTH
  4. Good job! Your persistance paid off.
  5. Sooo... when you were at the register making a purchase you applied for the card at the same time? Did the cashier ask you if you wanted to apply or did you ask to apply? Just wondering cuz I sure could use a positive TL and don't have the scores yet to apply for anything. The fact that I won't lose points for an inquiry is a bonus.
  6. Unfortunately, the letter does not say WHAT the CRAs will be notified to update it to. Was it a settlement or did you pay in full for deletion? It sounds like the "recovery specialist" knew exactly what he was doing. They got you to pay and still left you with a negative TL. Just curious, if this was IIB, why did you pay?
  7. That was good for a few laughs.
  8. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My kids won't have one until they are 18. That's for sure. That's fine as long as you do not want to claim them as dependants on your taxes, register them for school, add them to your health insurance..... The list goes on.
  9. I will try to condense as much as possible. Yesterday I called to make a car payment over the phone. The lady said they needed my updated information. I asked what info she wants. She said she needs my home phone number. I don't have a home phone, I don't NEED one. My finacee' and I have cell phones and we have cable internet. No need for another monthly bill. She was not happy with that. Then she says she needs my address because I moved. Yes I did move, IN NOVEMBER! I gave them my address then and they send my statement to my house every month. Then she has the nerve to ask me why I am giving her attitude. Umm, OK, by telling them that nothing has changed, I'm giving attitude. RIGHT. Then she asks me where I work. I tell her that info is the same also. She tells me that the address they have is a post office box. Yeah, you're so right, I work in a post office box. It's a tight squeeze but we like the togetherness. Actually, the address they have is our "main" office. But it is the ONLY address we give out and we DO have an office there. For our security, we do not and can not give the address where we actually drive to every day. Then she tell me "I know people who work there". I doubt it, but whatever. So today I log in to creditwatch and there is a new HARD from them. It was not there yesterday morning when I logged in. Do they have PP to re-pull? Can they pull a hard again? I called the office and the branch manager answered the phone, she said she does not know why, I will have to talk to the person who did the pull and she is not in. What should I do?????
  10. I will try to get into chat and see what happens. That Sandy woman had me ROFL.
  11. Me too! I work 9p-5:30a, but I don't think I can get into chat from here. That site kept me entertained for awhile tho. Have fun watching your movie, I'm gonna but Gothika when I get off work.
  12. Thanks! I didn't think anyone else was awake.
  13. I want to look at the message board for CA employees. I have seen it posted quite a few times, but I can't find it in a search. Does anyone remember?
