So irritated! I logged in to pay my first QT bill today and I noticed that my credit limit has been cut in half. I have barely had the card a week. I log into the Jiffy Lube account after that and that limit has been cut in half also. What gives? Are they famous for doing this to people?

I wonder why they would've researched it so hard? I didn't request a huge credit line, only $500 to start. Kind of a bummer as we have a lot of Marathons around here and it would've been a good tradeline to have. I'm contemplating paying the old debt but I'm not sure if that will stir things up with the old company or not.

So my husband and I owned a company 7 years ago that fell victim to the recession. We had a number of accounts that went bad. We were incorporated so that businesses credit was hit hard. I applied for a Speedway account recently at it was declined due to previous debt. Our new company is incorporated and has nothing to do with the old company. I didn't put any information about the old company on the application, how did they link the two and is this something that will hurt us in the long run getting other accounts? Edited to add: The credit lady specifically asked about the old business and said that much of the information matched up. I don't see how that can be true, because we have a whole different physical address, company name, phone number, PO Box, etc, business type, FEIN, Duns number. What could've matched up other than my name? I should also add, it wasn't technically denied, it was "Approved with the conditions" The conditions were that we pay the old balance (only 107.00) and then they would extend credit to us.

It's been a decent week. First QT now Jiffy Lube. Hopefully, better things are coming. I'd love to get a supply house account or Lowes but I'm sure it's too soon for that. I'm thinking of trying Pep Boys next but I don't want to press my luck. Still nothing reporting on DNB which is a bummer despite the fact I've bought and paid for several >$50 orders from all the Net 30 guys, Grainger, Gemplers, Quill, Uline, FSI, UPS, Deluxe. I wish I could see something happening with DNB.

I guess what I'm saying is I can't get a regular WEX card to save my life so I was surprised that we were approved for this when its the same company.
-
What do you credit scores look like? Any Paydex reporting?
-
I wouldn't say easy approval. WEX declined us for their card a month ago.

We were finally approved for a Fleet Card. It's with QuikTrip, (backed by WeX, I think). Starting credit limit is $1000.00. I have a DUNS file but no payment experiences reporting yet. We have several Net 30's, one or two of them are reporting to Equifax and Experian. I'm happy to finally see some progress!

It's been a few months and no DNB history yet

So I've applied for and gotten several small Net 30 accounts following the thread here. So far only 1 TL is reporting to Equifax and nothing to DNB. What am I doing wrong? I've bought items several times from each company and paid well before due. I need to try to get a Fleet card but with nothing showing on DNB I don't see how that's possible.

I applied over 30 days ago and still don't have a number. Anything else I should do? How will my trade lines report without a #? Experian seems to have a file on us but I don't want to pay the 34.95 to see it.

I've contact GE and am waiting to hear back, I'll report what I learn.

Does Microcenter Net30 report to Duns/Exp?

What are SNS and CDW? -
Anyone use a finance company like GE Capital to obtain financing for your customers? Just wondering what the process is to get set up to allow our customers to finance larger home repair purchases.
-
Yes after you process 50.00 in the first 30 days they issue you a statement credit of $125
