I've been on and off this board for a number of years. I've followed the advise of many on here and saw some improvements. Then back in 2009 I lost my job, divorced, filed bankruptcy and generally just said f... it to credit. Finally about a year ago I applied for Cap1 (QS $750, Playstation $1200, etc $500.) Barclays Reward $1900. I just went on an app spree of sorts and I got approved for the following Discover IT $900, Walmart $750, Paypal $900, Penfed Promise $3000. I am happy to say that that's enough for now. I have a utilization of around 10% on my cards. I also have a motorcycle loan from Tinker Federal CU for $9000 @4.9%. I think I'll stop for now and let things age a bit. I want to get a single higher limit card but I get offered small limits on multiple cards. I travel a lot and would loike to be able to keep my expenses on one card. I have a corporate amex but I still have to use my personal cards occasionally. I'm 4 years out of BK and I think that's whats holding me back. All my scores are in the 680 to 695 range Any suggestions??

After BK and a few years of no credit I've decided to get back on the horse. So far I got a couple Cap 1 cards and was just approved for Barclays Rewards card. Got denied for Amazon and Lowes. Why I have no idea. All are low limit $300 to $750. Opened a Pen Fed account. Any suggestions on what next?

Just applied for Cap 1 Platinum and QuicksilverOne and was approved for both. Only a 300 limit on each but considering I have no credit since BK7 3 years ago. Trying to get back on track to get my scores up (590) any suggestions on what else I can do? Any other cards that are easy to get for people with 590 credit?

Sent disputes online for removal of old and incorrect adresses. TU, EX no problem. EQ wants all these documents for them to delete old and incorrect addresses. Why do they need this when the other two don't and is there a way around thism (call, letter)?

It took about 5 business days to receive the card after the approval. As far as the amount of the checks, I don't see any up to the credit limit. Mine was approved to $4000.

Just got my nRewards card in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They also sent me my PIN number and my NFCU cash advance checks in the same mailing (all separate envelopes). Sure am glad the I saw the mailman before it was delivered. ID bandits would have had a field day.

I just sent the info they requested today. Called Customer Service and the "fraud" dept had already closed and they told me to check back on Monday. keeping my fingers crossed! Odd thing is when I was on the phone with them they asked me if I wanted to apply for a loan?????????????????

I'm a sales manager for a multi billion dollar international company.

They asked me to send them a copy of my DL, SS card, a utility bill and a letter affirming that I did apply for this card. I have a fraud alet on my CR's which I didn't request. Weird thing is yesterday I got a letter from autoloans.com that their database had been breached and my dat my have been compromised and offered me free credit monitoring for one year through EX.

I just got off the phone with them asking for the platinum card along with the BT on some of my other cards. They told me that it would take 7-10 days to approve. Is this normal?

So is that a yes "go for it" or should I wait?

Did you receive your card before you applied? Should I wait to get it in the mail or just go for it?

Would I be risking a lot to go for it this early? Do they normally approve you for the other products this quickly after just being approved?
