It just amazes me how little the employees of credit bureaus and credit card companies actually know about credit and credit reporting. Is their only training "this is how you answer the phone, this is how you transfer a call..."? You may want to try the executive office. I faxed all my documentation to them. So far I have received 2 letters and a call from their office. Of course by the time all of calls and mailings took place my report had already corrected itself. But at least I know they will in fact respond. I don't have a direct contact, but I faxed my concern to the executive fax at: 866-823-8178. It's worth a shot and I can definitely attest that they get them and follow up. It may be a bit slow though. But even when I spoke with the lady that called me in reference to my fax, she acted as if she couldn't understand my issue. I had to explain everything again in detail.

Are you serious?! My TU updated exactly one week after the EQ/EX update. I figured everyone else's had gone back to normal as well. Let me know what happens with the dispute. Hopefully they won't be butt-hurt about it and try to backlash in some way. But they have to understand that they are fooling with your credit file.

Oh I definitely understand that! I was afraid to breathe almost until my closing was over!!! Lol!

I suspect it's back to normal but I just won't feel completely comfortable until I get one more statement balance reported. I put a small charge on the card to test things out for next month.

Alright Gaby!!! I am still waiting on TU too but they are notorious for slow updating in my experience! I can't wait to put this behind us! You said you had used the card right? That would confirm that they are back to updating statement balances!

Very true...I checked EX a few minutes ago and it updated as well. The only one that I see still lingering is TU. YMMV. Seriously? I checked EX and nothing. As the late President Ford would say, OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS [ALMOST] OVER. Yeah mine was...I don't think they have a rhyme or reason to how they are updating right now. They are probably just trying to calm the angry masses as soon as possible. But as long as I saw some kind of progress I was happy. When I got the EQ update I was like, FINALLY!!!!

My equifax updated to 0 this morning. I have not used the card since the mid-cycle reporting so I don't know if this is a reflection of the statement balance. EX updated today as well, I just checked. TU is the only one that has not updated.

[ Mine closed the 12th and still no update. This crap has been going on for 3 weeks now, and I just spent another $300 (AFTER the May statement closed, but watch it somehow get reported anyway). IT'S NOT THAT HARD. That's what makes me mad though. I understand they updated account numbers for security; but how hard could it be to update again as soon as the statement closes. It should be just as easy as when they entered the account number updates.

Strange. Balance has been updated on to zero on EQ since monday, but still not updated on TU or EX. And now a week later, EX is updated with the zero balance but TU still is not. No idea what's going on with them... Finally updated on TU. Zero reported once again. This gives me hope. Thanks for the data point. Still waiting Gaby....My statement cut on 05/04 and the mid-cycle balance is still reporting. I am hoping to see EQ update sometime this week and the others to update a week or so later based on TrevorHere's experience. We shall see.

Yes you're right. I am just mad right now:angry: It would honestly be better just to let the card linger and not use it as I had originally planned. I hope this is temporary as well, but I have a feeling it's not. I think it is kind of means to override the power of the cardholder to adjust their utilization. But we will find out soon enough. My thing is, if this lingers for a few months or more chances are it's the new norm rather than a temporary screw up.

The way I see it the worse case scenario is that they close the card which wouldn't hurt my utilization or at least would still keep me under 7%. Plus I am already considering closing it because this isn't what I intended when I got the card a couple of months ago. I just wanted to use it for the 2% rewards on utilities since my other cards only offered 1%. But they have in fact began to hurt my utlitization by posting a balance mid-month even though I pay the balance on the due date before statement closing. So it's like which is the lesser of the two evils?

I am thinking about disputing it all across the board on each bureau. I am giving them until Friday to correct it and if not I will be entering a credit dispute with the bureaus. You would think that the mass complaints they received would make them realize that something is wrong but instead they say things like, "We report on your statement closing date." (which is obviously untrue) or "We can report any day of the month we choose." Those 2 statements contradict each other but it's like they have no idea what you are talking about.

Are you serious Gaby?! It's still only showing on my EQ but it's time for them to update up there. I SD'd the card for now until I see what the heck they are up to. I don't know if this has to do with their new online banking stuff or what.....
