Hello, it's been many years since I've perused this site. You all helped me years ago and I truly appreciated it. I am getting very serious in the new year about protecting my identity, as an in-law applied for things in my name years ago and those addresses that weren't mine now come up in basic questionnaires with my bank, etc. My question for you is: what are the names of the companies that store data on you, old addresses, etc? I would like to contact every possible one, freeze if possible and request addresses they have for me so I can dispute. Thank you in advance for your help.

Has anyone successfully negotiated a PFD with them? Also, if they are collecting for Capital One, do they truly own the debt, or could one go to CapOne directly to pay and then dispute PRC off the report since original creditor was paid? Thanks in advance.

Hi all I have two TU inqs, Oct 19 and 24... I am using MPM USAA EQC CK and SC daily. (yes i know SC is the only one that is supposed to work to B* but we do know somewhere in the science that the others help a bit)... In your statistical experiences, when do you think these will disappear?? I appreciate your assistance with this question greatly.

Thanks, y'all!

Has anyone else stuck with USAA, accepted the higher cost for the daily pulls and today wakes up to see no link to the product to check? Or am I an anomaly?

Luckily, after speaking to someone in India who told me "there is no such thing as a split file", I asked for the President's office out of exasperation and someone in Georgia helped to fix it.

What an unpleasant surprise for a Monday morning - I signed into complete this morning and my file was split after their scheduled maintenance. On hold now to try to correct this and bracing myself for weeks of headaches.....

Stuck In The 690s - Strategy To Get to 720?
cookiemommy replied to redsfaithful's topic in Credit Forum
Take 200 dollars. Get a capital one secured. If you can get into Navy federal also take 500 there and get a secured. For three months let nine percent of your CL report and PIF. By six months you will be golden and then you can start applying confidently. But if nothing else, I cannot stress this enough, click a new browser window and apply for capital one secured TODAY, do not let another day pass. http://www.capitalone.com/creditcards/mastercard-secured-credit-card/ Best of luck!
