  2. I have a chrage off for $7722 showing on my credit report. The loan was charged off over a year ago and now they just sent me an email saying that I owe them $9350 due to interest. When I called them to dispute the charge they would only offer a settlement of $6500 or monthly payments of $800 until it's paid off. Keep in mind this is the original creditor who has already charged off the debt. They told me that the loan has not been paid on in a year and a half that since I have other charge offs on my credit report (which he pulled on the phone with me and used as his arguement for not going lower) thats the best he could do. Any advice on my next steps? Are they allowed to pull your report without permission and use other information on it as leverage?
  3. First off that stinks and they do seem horrid. I would send them a reply saying that you will pay the $800 as long as the account can not be referred and the issue is taken care of.

  6. I have had 4 loans through Pioneer Military Lending the first three of which were paid off in full with no late payments. On this last loan it ended up being charged off in the amount of $6765. The current amount on my credit report showing is $7722 due to fees probably. I was going to send them a PFD letter offering $5000-$5500 and was wondering if that was a good idea or not.
