    Thanks CB!

Just wanted to write a quick thank you to all of you at CB. With your help, and a lot of time and effort, I've managed to get my scores from the Mid 500's to 776 eq/ 771 TU when I checked them today. I could never have done it without you guys.
  2. Thanks everybody! I think I will just wait until December/January rather than risk it. I am in the middle of closing on a house anyway and the last thing I want to do is mess with my credit report until that is all done. Virtual let me know what happens!
  3. What I mean is, Experian removed my old delinquent student loans in June. Has anybody tried to use that in order to get Equifax and Transunion to do the same? If you have, did it work? Do you have any sample letters? Date of first delinquency on the S/L's was 12/2005. I know I could be patient and wait 5 months but I'd really like to get a new truck before the winter hits. If you haven't tried it, do you think it would work? My EQ and TU student loans are the only baddies left, since I found CB I've been able to clean up my credit report with amazing results. Thanks!

    Thanks CB

Just a quick thank you to everybody here at CB for helping me thru this nightmare! When I first started, I had a lot of baddies, a score in the mid 500's, and I had one card, a HSBC Orchard Bank $300 Limit with an $89 annual fee. Since then, with your help, I've managed to rid myself of all but one EQ Baddie, which I am pretty confident will be gone soon. I've gotten a $500 CapOne Platinum (Bumped to $750), a $500 Hooters, a $500 BBRZ, a $1200 Barclays/Apple, and just today I got approved for a $1500 Discover More with no annual fee. So to anybody feeling like they're in too deep, take the time and read the boards and really LEARN AND LISTEN. THANKS AGAIN CB!
  7. So when my computer took a dump on me last night, on a whim I applied for an Apple card, which is financed thru Barclays. I was approved for $1200! Yay me. So anyway my question is, on a scale of 1-10, where does Barclay's stand as far as how easy it is to get the card? Lets say 1 is a $300 Prepaid Orchard Bank Card, and 10 is an AMEX Black. I'm just wondering because now I want to apply for some big boy cards. My EQ is 662 and my TU is 651. THX.
  8. um.... ok. trust the guy with 3 posts or the guy with 3000? tough call.
  9. Ok thank you... I'm not really ready yet just getting my ducks in a row while I'm bored. PSECU - Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union? What are the req's to get in there? I just hit up the website and it seems that if I'm not a State Employee or know one, I'm out. Is there a back door way? Thanks.
  10. So I just joined Penfed online and am waiting for all the paperwork to come in the mail. I'm wondering at what scores you guys are seeing approvals for their CC's? My scores are currently in the 640-650 range on EQ and TU. I have no baddies left on EQ, and only one left on TU. I'm at about 38% Utilization that will be paid off within the next month. I have a $750 Limit CapOne, at $500 Hooters and a $300 BBRZ. I also just closed a $500 Orchard Bank card because the A/F was $79 and I'm not paying that. In reading some older posts it seems that Penfed is tough when approving credit lines. Would I have better luck with a different CU? I want to get some higher limit cards and get rid of the toys.
  11. Anybody??? TTT
  12. Ok Boys n Gals, looking for an opinion on my next course of action here. I sent out a DV letter to NCO via CMRR and they received it on 9/13. It was the pretty standard DV letter that is floating around here and on the web. It is now 30 days later and I've yet to hear a peep from them. The accounts are still on my CBR's. Additionally, I put a cease and desist paragraph in the DV letter demanding no more phone contact, yet I still get calls from "unknown" caller ID and voicemails from NCO Financial. My question is where should I proceed from here?? I'm thinking a letter stating something along the lines of "you have either chosen not to, or are unable to provide proof that I owe this debt, a violation of the FDCPA. Additionally your company continues to call me and leave voicemails on my phone, after I've given you a written C+D, another violation of the FDCPA. Since I have concrete evidence that NCO is in violation of Federal Law, I DEMAND that you remove these 2 accounts from all 3 CBR's." I'll jazz it up with more legalize... but thats the basic jist of it. What do you think??
  13. So I ordered all 3 credit reports and I've received EX and TU. I'm noticing that EX lists a "fall off date" for most of the accounts. Is this date the same that TU and EQ will also use?? Thanks.
  14. I've just received a letter from NCO where they've spelled my first name wrong?? Can I use this against them? How to proceed?
  15. Interesting!!!! So you sent the letter to EQ, EX and TU???
