  1. I do hope this is not a duplicate question... My fiance and I will be moving into a new house before we get married. The mortgage is in his name only. But I want to be placed on the deed only. He is concerned that my being on the deed will cause a lien to be placed on the house for student loan debt. But I spoke with someone at the dept of ed, who says this is not true. However, I cannot find any written proof (I see a battle between my fiance and me brewing) to back up what the dept of ed told me. Please help. We will be moving in December, I begin my loan rehab next month. Thanks.
  2. I'm doing a new consolidation. Thanks. Today I've found http://www.ombudsman.ed.gov/ to be a great resource (especially if you are in default ) The only other issue is: Once I start making payments (and the loan is paid, it's a consolidation) the loan will appear on my CR as "defaulted loan paid in full". Can I write the CRAs to have that removed? Or would that stick for 7 yrs?
  3. I would like a written statement telling me how much the loan was sold to AES/RAB for. Of course AES or RAB won't tell me. Please advise.
  4. ...unless I can contact them (sorry I don't have the letter at work with me). But there are 3 dates listed: the date of the letter, and what looks like two deadline dates. The first deadline is June 25 and the second is May 25, which is one day after the date of the letter (5/24). Note: AES used my old address and the Post Office so kindly (lol) forwarded it to my current home. Do I have a case? Also, I'm a newbie, so if anyone can point me in the direction of anything AES or Pennsylvania HEAA related, I would appreciate it.
