Can anyone provide me with an updated (official-ish) link on this for the state of Colorado ?? The closest terminology i could find was "post-judgment asset exemptions" and only a couple generic links came up that I don't have faith in because they read the same as the bankruptcy exemptions.
I know that an IRA is protected if i file bankruptcy, but what about if a creditor (credit card) gets a judgment against me - can they raid my IRA, or is it protected from a judgment (and/or lien) as well?
Part 2 - If those funds are accessible to them, what's the process? Do they just take it all, is there a limit, a withdrawal schedule., etc
Part 3 - Is it possible for a creditor to know I have an IRA and what the balance is? Cuz if they knew I had it and they could access it, it would seem a judgment is eminent, right? I have a decent amount in there, but obviously less than the total amt I owe - and it is my only real asset.
Thanks in advance!
