Ask GEORGE I think he is very familiar with AMEX blacklisting!!

Made a horrible mistake.......is it too late to correct it??

What is LVNV? I can't find this anywhere in the definitions section. Thanks. CA LVNV Funding is a company of many names, Resurgent Capital Services, LP, LVNV Funding Capital Management Services, Astra, Venta, among others; but they are all very much one in the same. They buy outdated credit card debts and try collect upon them. Thanks George! So..its a bottom feeder! -

This is the same credit card company can do no wrong according to some here??? I am sure AMEX is not the favorite among some CB members. However, if members can get in with a AMEX card I am sure its a good thing among CRA and helps in scoring. I could be wrong but it doesn't hurt my scores one bit..I am a true believer that having that card helps...just my two cents. George, I am sure with out a doubt you'll have a lot say if there ever is a solo thread of nothing but AMEX...I am surprised there is not one already...a thread for AMEX. maybe there is one just have not seen it...

It sounds like your on the right track.. I use credit secure from American Express.. True Credit and Equifax Monitoring. Do you really get ALL 3 NEW SCORES and REPORTS DAILY from TC (updated daily...not just last weeks or 3 weeks ago report) MOST people were downgraded to one per month George, I am not into gimmicks. My credit is fine and just so you know I said I have those Credit monitoring services ..not that I check them daily. I check them maybe if I am lucky twice a month...and thats it...

Unbelievable ....you applied for a CC not knowing your FICO score!! You should always know where you credit stands when applying for new credit. Tell that to people who are DENIED with 800+ Some years ago I was DENIED with 739 and APPROVED with 665 SAME EXACT CARD One of the many reasons I stopped feeding the MONSTER George, again sorry about your luck... AMEX and my other credit card works for me... I have never had any issues...no credit issues and defnitley no credit card issues...

450 AF Fee.. Curious how long have you had the card? I upgraded my card in August. It was an Amex Green before Platinum. I just don't want to pay the $450 AF because it is not worth it for me. I am thinking of changing back to the Green or maybe the Gold that has the $125 AF. I shall decide before August. Thanks..I am looking to upgrade myself and don't see the $450 AF as an option for me..

AMEX is famous (or was) for randomly requiring a F/R (financial review) of several CB's member's accounts and during the process several members posted the loss of some of their credit limits or of the closure of their account(s) as a result of the review. GEORGE happened be hit especially hard IIRC. FULL RECTAL EXAM Bend over and spread them (complete with the camera) PAID ON TIME...NEVER LATE...NEVER OVER-LIMIT...NEVER HAD A PAYMENT BOUNCE PUNISH THEM I didn't have any F/R...just a 96.1% CLD over 3 cards I stand corrected...again... Sorry about your luck with AMEX. They have been good too me the last ten years...I can't complain. AMEX has looked at my credit a few times in 2009 and I have called them and told them they can look at my experian any time...

quote] AMEX ROCKS!!!! Congrats! If you even get AMEXED you won't think so....... What exactly do you mean by AMEXED??

AMEX ROCKS!!!! Congrats!

I would defnitley keep the credit card and continue to use it for small items and make on time payments I would then wait a year and apply for a prime credit card.

Congrats!! AMEX Rocks!!
