Do you know of which will build credit the most?? Just curious or will it work to do the same thing as long as she has a credit card and is using it in her name and the bill is getting paid on time?
-
I did this years ago a lot of PFD letters disputes etc etc. so now I am helping a friend trying to repair their credit but need some advice from the experts The situation is her credit is bad but from viewing her reports I think with some effort in two years time her credit can be repaired In the meantime she also needs to work on establishing credit and I am wanting to offer solid advice. Which would be the best avenue or also I am open to other recommendations. Her mom is willing to add her onto her credit card as an authorized user I remember everyone back when I was on here would talk about the orchard bank secured credit card as a means for people with bad credit to establish credit. Thanks to all who reply

All, I went to myfico.com and it appears like they offer all three credit scores are these actual all three fico scores? Also what is the cheapest way to get all three fico scores is there a better way?

closed 3 good accounts never late credit score lowered

I hear all this rave about orchard bank cards I am curious to how they work etc -
I always heard this could happen my credit score is lowered but only according to credit karma but im sure it is lowered anyway for closing 3 student loan accounts I paid them off and was so happy to do so. I have no credit cards or anything like that no bad accounts about 6 student loan accounts and they are all paid in full and paid on time. my credit looks relatively clean as a whistle right now. well i do have some hard pulls that would be a year ago when i got my mortgage. How long do hard pulls take before they fall off your credit? Also what are some quick solid ways to put some more point on my credit scoreboard. I am sure my score is pretty good, but all in all I just want to make sure it stays healthy. I am not looking to get a loan or anything like that anytime soon.

Good closed Cls are not limited in reporting time but CRAs generally have a policy of dropping them after 10 years. There is an interesting problem here. If you have a bunch of accounts that were closed by the credit grantor during a period of credit duress, they convert from negative to positive reporting TLs after 7 years but the comment "closed by credit grantor" remains. So if a credit reviewer sees a cluster of "good" eight on nine y/o TLs which were closed by the credit grantor the implication they actually were less than "good" is quite strong in spite of the fact they are now reporting as "never late" building a strong FICO score. One wonders whether or not it is smart to have old but good TLs that were closed by the grantor deleted. You bring up a good point here

Do good accounts fall off after 7 years since the statue of limitation on reporting is 7 years?? I know for bad accounts you get can them removed after 7 years but on good accounts can you have those stay on your report??

tradelines deleted but disputes are still ongoing
decadude replied to decadude's topic in Credit Forum
Have to opt out on the rapid rescore a hard pull coded mortgage wont hurt your score as long as the pull is within 45 days also rural development I am sure will want to see the newly cleaned up credit file. the CRAs are not reporting the adverse accounts any longer so I am pretty sure my file will not show disputes -
tradelines deleted but disputes are still ongoing

please can someone help with this bump -
This is kinda odd and I am wondering if my credit report will show pending disputes i had disputed with the CRA first then immediately called the CA and they agreed to remove and removed via e-oscar system I called and also logged into my transunion and equifax as well as called both CRAs where i disputed the two tradelines and they say the items are removed but you will have to wait the 30 days for the disputes on the two tradelines to be over with. The reason for this is the CA deleting the tradelines this was not in response to the dispute they did it on free will. both are gone but the CRAs still say the disputes are ongoing. Will my credit report be flagged with disputes?? My reason for asking is I am planning on doing a hard pull for a mortgage today and was wondering if anything regarding disputes would show up on the hard pull
