anyone dealt with this debt collector? they keep calling me. do they have anything to do with lvnv?

ok so one more question....once the bill of sale is made out, that means that the car is LEGALLY SOLD right? it will take like 3 weeks to get the title transferred.

You could have your dad to the Title because you owe him money, or if anything happens to you, he could sell the car to pay for your funeral. . ( you do owe him money for something, Right? ) that way, he's has priority - and teh car is worth less, because if sold, they would have to payhim the 3K before they could realize anything. i guess that answers my question. no i dont owe him any money. the idea was to make out a bill of sale for x amount saying i sell it to him, then officially change the title over to his name completely. but he would still consider the care mine, even though its legally his and now they cant touch it. he agreed to do it just to help me protect it. he doesnt mind. so technically by the law im not hiding assets. so that way IF i lose my case and the plaintiff gets the judgment awarded, i wont lose it. i just wanted to make sure it would work legally.

i had a court date with the CA last week and nobody won. the judge set another court date. anyway while im preparing my case further, ive got a good chance of winning, but there is the possibility i could lose. i dont own any property, all i have is my car which is paid for and title is in my name. i have no money and no job. no wages to garnish. can they take possesion of my car if the judge ordered it? i thought about making out a bill of sale to my dad and have the title changed over to his name. then they couldnt touch it right? being technically it would not be my property anymore.

can you explain what a foad letter is and how would it help me?

yeah it doesnt make any sense. the sol is 3 years here. its already been 6 years. its either a desparate move on their part or theyre planning to pull out something else. they hired one of the best lawyers here to sue me too. weird....

dofd was in january of 2006. i havent made any payments since. was jobless at the time.

my old capital one cc account appears on my credit report in 2 places. the first is the old account under capital one which is closed and charged off. the 2nd is under lvnv funding llc as a "factoring company account.". i searched and i cant find a straight answer on what it is. i understand it is still considered open. im about to go to court with lvnv over it, so my question is can that affect the outcome of the case? the capital one account is out of the sol in my state(3 years). the dofd is in 2006. that is my primary defense. on the lvnv account this is what it says can they somehow say it is still within sol? it says updated 4-18-12.

so fico is the best? i have a paypal debit card but is a mastercard. what about experian, transunion, and equifax scores? does fico matter more?
