How long ago did you start building your credit history? I started checking my reports late last year, I had no scores. I applied for some cards in January this year, no luck. I had to apply for a Parent plus loan(my daughter is attending ASU) in May of this year and was approved(shocked)! I applied for a Citicard at the end of September and was approved! My reports were fairly clean, there were someunpaid medical bills, that have since dropped off.

I am new on here, I have recently been approved for several new cards. My goal is to raise my scores and build my credit. Any advice and information would be appreciated. I plan on only using my citi card to pay bills and pay in full each month,as for the others I will charge small amounts and pay in full. Cards and limits Citi Platinum Select- 1200.00 JC Penney- 1000.00 Macy's - 400.00 Ann Taylor- 250.00 Walmart- 150.00 Scores Trans Union 611 Experian 576 Equifax 627

I would wait about six months, I applied for a Citi Platinum Select in April this year and was denied. I applied again at the end of October and was approved the next day!
