  1. Just simply that she had never been late on that particular account or any account-ever. The account had been closed for about 3 years. They removed the account existence and history entirely.
  2. Update on this!! Experian removed the account w/late payment after putting through an online inquiry within 2 DAYS! I sent letters to both Trans union and Equifax-both removed the same within a week and a half! Average score change: +30pts! Well worth the little effort that was put into it...
  3. Any other suggestions here? Thanks...
  4. Was through Victorias Secret...on the report it says "WFNNB".
  5. The account is closed so no goodwill I guess...my other, next best option? Thanks.
  6. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the best, current direction for removing negatives on your report? My wife has one from over 3 years ago now, only 30 days late and was an honest mistake...it was literally in the amount of about 50 bucks, which bothers me more that it was over such a small amount...so would like to try and have it removed. About 10 years ago, for my own report, I sent letters out to all all three and was slowly succesful in having negative items removed. Are letters still the best way to go and if so does anyone know where I can find some generic templates to help me along? Much appreciate the help!
  7. I understand the curiosity, however, don't do something as enormous as an automobile transaction, based on anecdotal evidence of how it may or may not appear on your credit file(s). It is mostly just curiousity....my avg score between the 3 are around 755 so not very concerned...just wanted to know before hand for sure. I didn't think it would show as revolving either I was also wondering if it shows the total selling price of the car and lease payment per month or the lease payment totals for the amount of time leasing? For example, if the lease is $500 per month for 24 months lets say...does it show as a 12k installment loan?
  8. Never leased before, always owned. Looking to lease soon so was wondering...how does it show on the credit report? Same as a loan I'm assuming?
  9. Thanks...been looking for some info on opting out with a balance and the affect on utilization. This clears things up for me...
