I know it's been a while, but wanted to post an update. I've made it to Iraq and so far so good. I got to this part of the world on the 3rd of Jan. Missed ArmySarge in Kuwait. We were on different posts. It would have been nice to raise a cup of coffee to creditboards.

 

On the good side- I had a collection removed off the big 3. We (dh and I) bought a house in FL. My scores are now all in the high 600's. Credit cards are all getting paid off so I hope I'll make it to the 700's by the time I get home. I hate the sucky interest rates that I have on several things, but much better than right after my BK thanks to many of you.

I was hoping to meet SpecMom in Kuwait and "tag out" over coffee, but as luck would have it, we were at different camps. So we kind of did an email "tag out" and now she has the CB reins there in Iraq. Yes, we here at CB are still very well represented!

I'm here. lupoman- haven't gotten to visit your post yet, but I hear it's nicer than mine, but haha you get more mortars than I do.

 

I'm actually home on emergency leave for my uncle right now. Enjoying my children and our new home in FL as well as going to visit my uncle. I've definitely learned to stay focused on the positive and am grateful to be able to come home to visit my uncle while he's still with us. Checked my credit scores for my birthday.

Up from the low 500's when I started here. 2 houses mortgaged, just got a furniture line, and providian for $1500. Couldn't say thank you enough everybody!!!

 

I'll be back in Iraq in another week. I hear it's the weather has gotten much hotter since I've been gone. Looking forward to sweating off some more weight.

Well Specmom Hope ya make it up here, Can hit up green beans coffe or something and watch the Mortar rounds fall around base I bet your already back in IRAQ, i know you missed it.

 

Anyway I hope your Uncle is doing better and awesome news on your scores! Working on the tan at the pool here by day, dodgeing IED's by night, it dont get much better!

The CB site has grown by leaps and bounds. A thousand new faces at least since I first joined, it seems. I have not been visiting here as often either. But I remember you both! And my prayers are with you as well as with lupoman. Wow.

 

Specmomarmy, congratulations on the scores! I cannot believe that you have the time and energy to work on this with all that you are doing! I really must get off my flowers and keep it moving.

 

Here is my idea. I hope president Bush (and all future presidents) and company are listening. Anyone that serves during a war/active duty should automatically get all their credit negs erased and have a starting score of 850!

 

My (perhaps silly but well meaning) way of saying may only blessings rain down on all of you. And may Grace keep you safe.
