Shelf Inc Advice DNB

When you buy a shelf inc how do you get around the start of business date at DNB? It was mentioned recently someone was sending a fax of there occ lic. But if my occ lic is starting Jan 05 and the inc date is 2001 and I want to take advantage of the shelf inc time to get leasing credit especially. I did pull the inc name I am interested in buying and it was listed at DNB so I presume it has a dnb number on file. I guess I can ignore the DNB request for info and just go based upon the file established, but is it? The Inc is a lawyer shelf inc with no business activity. Hate to buy then they start the business at DNB on 01/05 which wouldn't give any advantage to the purchasing of a shelf INC. Thanks!

State records should show that the business entity is such years old. It might already have a Duns #. If not, call them to set it up.

 

However, if you call them.... my advice to you is not to buy anything from them. They will try to sell things that are not necessary. I speak from bad experience. I bought credit builder from them and it has been a waste. I think it is much better to establish your own business credit. When they ask you for the start date of the business give the date that the business entity was organized and not the date that you acquired the business.
