I tried for Walmart 2 days ago and received the 7-10 day noticed. Today I received an email denial notification. The reason listed was 'HIGH RISK SOURCE OF APPLICATION'. They did not pull a CR or anything.

I didn't even think about this. I run my internet through Open DNS. I use a Netherlands server. DOH! In retrospect, I should have switched to a D.C. server before applying.

I called CSR and she said she'd run the app again. She asked for all my info as if it were a new app; Instant denial. CSR says I'll get the letter in the mail, blah blah blah.

I did my MPM pull afterwards and no Walmart inquiry this time either so I assume I'll get the same denial reason due to the first app.

Maybe I should try in store? or ask UW to pull report? Has anyone ever had experience with this?

OK I called UW and it's useless to try to get them to do anything in regards to recon of denial. "The application has been processed already and reviewed by an underwriter... blah blah blah... we cannot reverse the decision". I state that my credit report was never pulled so what was the decision based upon? The guy got a little snotty sounding and said, "the reason doesn't matter. It was denied and that's that. Apply again in 30 days."

Oh well. Lesson learned.

How rude

I was thinking I'm not asking you to pull my credit report so at least I know why I'm being denied.

I'm much better at maintaining my composure now. I wanted to go off on him but instead I said thank you very much for the info.

woosah :)

The same thing has happened to people deployed that apply from a DOD computer. Common denial for all GE products.

Wait the 30d and apply from a US ip. In store is a good idea too especially since they aren't doing HP anyways it would be work a shot now, but I have a suspicion it will kick it out until the denial ages out the full 30 days.
